American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian Artists The Native Arts and Cultures Foundation (NACF) is accepting applications for the 2015 NACF Artist Fellowship Program. Disciplines include dance, filmmaking, literature, music, traditional arts, and visual arts. Project Proposals The J.M. Kaplan Fund is accepting proposals for the J.M.K. Innovation Prize. The Prize will provide up to three years of support at $50,000 per year, as well as a $25,000 “bank” of funds available for technical assistance or targeted project expenses, making a total award of up to $175,000. The Prize seeks to support inter-disciplinary innovation in the fields of cultural heritage, human rights, the built environment, and the natural environment. Learn more.

Poetry The Berkshire Prize for a First or Second Book of Poetry includes a cash award of $3,000 in addition to publication by Tupelo Press, 20 copies of the winning title, a book launch, and national distribution with energetic publicity and promotion. Boston Public Library Children’s Writer-in-Residence Program
The Associates of the Boston Public Library is now accepting applications for the 2015-2016 Children’s Writer-in-Residence program. The selected applicant will receive a $20,000 stipend and office space at the BPL’s Central Library in Copley Square. He or she must work a minimum of 19 hours per week at the BPL during the nine-month residency (September 2015 through May 2016). Projects eligible for this program are fiction, non-fiction, a script, or poetry, intended for children or young adults. Illustrations may be combined with any of these formats, but are not required. To be eligible, the applicant must be a US citizen and cannot have published more than three books to date. Learn more.
