Jazz Touring Grants Jazz Road Tours offer grants of up to $15,000 to develop jazz tours into communities across the country. The program supports small, three-to-six site tours at an array of venue types, often in rural communities and other areas traditionally underserved by the genre. This event is created by Sista Creatives Rising (SCR), a project founded by a Black, invisibly disabled mother-daughter. Arlington Community Education Cover Art Contest Local artists are invited to submit up to four pieces for Arlington Community Education’s annual Cover Art Contest. Call to Artists Art in the Park is a popular annual art event in Charlestown’s beautiful and historic City Square Park on the Freedom Trail. Local artists and artisans display and sell their artwork and fine crafts in 32 booths and tents. This juried art event’s vendors will include traditional 2D fine arts such as painting, drawing, photography, collage, and printmaking as well as high-quality handmade crafts such as ceramics and dinnerware, glassware, fiber arts, and handcrafted jewelry. While the event is free to attend and open to the public, all art is available for purchase from each local artist. Learn more.
