Call to Artists Delaware State University’s Arts Center/Gallery is seeking artwork submissions related to any an all interpretations of the broad theme of peace and justice. The curated exhibition will present a diverse examination of the theme while emphasizing media/material experimentation. Learn more.

Female Playwrights The Henley Rose Playwright Competition for Women was founded by Yellow Rose Productions, with permission of Beth Henley, to encourage and recognize the new works of female playwrights. The Henley Rose Playwright Competition for Women aims to give voice to the stories of this generation and to bring into the spotlight important works that have been crafted. Learn more.

Plein Air Painters An International Call for Works Made Outdoors (en plein air) from the Manifest Creative Research Gallery and Drawing Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Open to any and all traditional and non-traditional visual arts media. The annual Manifest Grand Jury Prize will result in the awarding of one significant cash prize ($2500) to a single work selected as the ‘best of the entire season’. Winner will be determined by a final end-of-year jury from among a pool of all top-scoring works from each exhibit’s jury process across the current exhibition season. Learn more.

Playwrights Queens Theatre is seeking submissions for its “Theatre For All Short Play Readings” which will take place on Sunday, Dec. 2, at 7:00pm. Plays on all subjects by writers with disabilities OR plays by any writer which feature a character or characters with a physical or mental disability. Learn more.

Artist Grants National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures Fund for the Arts supports US-based Latino artists and arts organizations in the development, creation, presentation and sustainability of artistic excellence, as well as the opportunity to participate in activities that contribute to professional and organizational growth. They are offering awards from $5,000-$25,000. There are support webinars 8/8 and 8/22. Learn more.

Creative Arts Fellowships Fellowships of up to $77,500 each, office space at the Radcliffe Institute, and access to the libraries at Harvard University are given annually to artists in a variety of disciplines to allow them to pursue their creative projects, in the 2019/2020 academic year. Applications accepted from artists in creating writing, performing arts, music, film/video, and visual arts. Learn more.

Visual Art in All Media #LOCAL, a gallery run by Cider House Media in Easthampton, has issued a call to visual artists in all media for the exhibition Caught in a Fantasy (Nov 10-Dec 2, 2018). The gallery is looking for art that expresses or shows elements of fantasy: whimsy, other worlds, make-believe, dreamlands, and imagination. Email 1-4 images to Elizabeth Appelquist, with title, dimensions, and media. No submission fee, and a brief description is optional.

Filmmakers The Karen Schmeer Film Editing Fellowship is now accepting applications. The fellowship assists emerging documentary editors by developing their talent, expanding their creative community, and furthering their career aspirations. Emerging documentary editors who have cut at least one feature documentary (longer than 60 minutes) but no more than three and are based in the U.S. are eligible to apply. Learn more

Call for Exhibition Proposals The Friends of the Jamaica Plain Branch Library are gearing up for a new round of submissions to select the exhibitions for 2019 season. These bi-monthly exhibits will be proposal-based, selected by a group of Boston-area artists and library affiliates. The Friends welcome artists from across New England to submit recent two-dimensional work for a solo or group show, each lasting for two-month periods. There is no specific theme, but artists are encouraged to include work that can be enjoyed by the diverse visitorship of the JP Branch Library, including children, teens, and other community members. Accepted work will be displayed in a public area of the JP Branch Library, and an accompanying reception will be organized by Uforge, their managing partner, on behalf of the Friends. Moving Images The Cultural Center of Cape Cod invites filmmakers worldwide to submit video for exhibition in its Vault Gallery for MOVING IMAGES. Three chosen films will run on a continuous loop throughout the duration of the exhibit from October 30-November 11, 2018. The Cultural Center directors will jury. Learn more.

Call to Artists Entries are now being accepted for an exhibition at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum in Ormond Beach, FL is open to any artist or collaborative of artists submitting original works of art or design created within the past three years. All disciplines are encouraged to submit.
