Call to Artists The Danforth Art Museum in Framingham is accepting entries for their annual juried exhibition. Artists must be 18 years or older and live or work in New England (CT, ME, MA, NH, RI, VT). Artists may submit up to three works created within the last three years. Work in all media, and of all sizes is encouraged. Fees: A $50 fee includes up to three submissions for one artist. Call to Black Photographer PhotoSC invites Black photographers to submit work to their exhibition, A Black Perspective: Celebrating the Voice & Vision. They are looking for work that offers a unique perspective — one that challenges assumptions, reclaims narratives, and celebrates both the everyday and extraordinary aspects of Black life. Submissions may explore all aspects, styles and genres of photography to include alternative practice and collage. America 250 City Art Poster Project To commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM), in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, has launched the America 250 City Art Poster Project. Participating cities will collaborate with artists to create visual representations (posters) that celebrate local history and inspire hope for the future. Posters submitted by May 1, 2026, will be considered for display at USCM’s 94th Annual Meeting June 4 – 7, 2026. Jacob’s Pillow Curriculum in Motion™ Institute – Professional Development
Applications are open for this 10-month professional development program for dance artists and arts educators focused on choreography and community engagement. Participants explore how dance can respond to the histories, questions, and needs of communities. Alumni have applied the methodology in K–12 schools, galleries, cultural hubs, health and social service organizations, and historical sites. Call to Visual Artists, Curators, Writers Applications are now open for the 2026 Collective Futures Fund (CFF) grant cycle. As a Regional Regranting Program of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts administered by the Tufts University Art Galleries. CFF directly supports visual artists, curators, and writers in producing collaborative and public projects that engage in risk-taking and experimentation. Grants are available in three tiers: Sustaining Practice: Grants offered at $3,000 each geared toward emerging individual artists and collaborators who need critical support for research, to develop new projects and future ideas, and sustain themselves in the process. New Projects: $8,000 for the creation and public presentation of new projects by visual artists, curators, or collectives. Call to Artists J.P. Licks has been hanging the work of local artists on their store walls for over 3 decades and they’re seeking additional artists to display their art in 13 locations (store locations include Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Newton, Brookline, Dedham, Wellesley, and Andover). Each store has different size walls available (details available upon request) and all work must be family friendly in nature (no violent imagery or nudity), can not contain any religious, political, or sexual imagery/text, nor any brand names. Artists can price the work themselves (J. P. Licks takes no commission on any sales) and artists are responsible for hanging the art themselves and for creating their own labels (with pricing, title, and contact information if applicable), and providing a bio for us to include on social media sites and our website. The artwork must be prepped to hang with either d-rings or similar hardware. Work must be up for a minimum of 3 months at a time and J.P. Licks cannot take responsibility for lost or damaged artwork. J.P. Licks will promote the artists’ work on their website and social media channels. Learn more.
