Mixed Media  Lynn Arts has a call out for a juried exhibition. Artists working in any any medium as long as it involves multiple mediums are encouraged to apply. The curating will be done from actual work. All work must be delivered and picked up.
Drop-off: January 13, 10am-8pm or January 14, 10am-5pm

Abstract Painters Exhibition Opportunity at the Brooklyn Artists Gym. They are seeking artists to submit up to three finished pieces, along with the images, sketches, photographs, notes, and materials that helped them arrive there. Learn more.

Wanted: Technology-based Art COLLISIONcollective has a call for proposals for experimental, technology-based artwork for COLLISION16, one of its periodic shows. Submissions will be judged according to the following criteria (in decreasing order of importance) – work should be: technological in production or product; safe to patrons; completed and available (including artist); size-appropriate for AXIOM Gallery space; exciting/novel; thought provoking; high quality in its craft. COLLISION16 show will open February 18 and run for four weeks. Submit and find more info.

Filmmakers Submissions now being accepted for the ASU Art Museum Short Film and Video Festival to take place April 23, 2011. The festival is free for artists to enter their work and free to attend. Learn more. Deadline: January 28, 2011

Call to Artists smARTpowers will send 15 U.S. artists abroad to work with local artists and young people  to create community-based art projects. Emerging to mid-career artists are encouraged to apply. Finalists will be identified through open competition and selected by a national advisory panel of artists and art professionals. Each recipient will be provided with an honorarium, travel funding, a budget for materials, resources for documentation (including photography, video, and web posting), and on-site logistical support.

Choreographers Applications are now being accepted for the Choreographers’ Project Fellowship offered by Summer Stages Dance at Concord Academy. The fellowship provides the opportunity to develop new work. Fellows select a cast of dancers from the Workshop intensive and have access to rehearsal space in the evenings and on weekends. Fellowship awards include mentorship by workshop faculty and resident artists, access to all Summer Stages Dance classes and select performances, studio space and rehearsal time with dancers drawn from the workshop, weekly seminar classes that include informal showings of the new work, and a culminating dialogue about the developing work with faculty and guest artists. Open rehearsal and a fully produced public performance at the ICA/Boston of work created during the residency as well as subsidy for housing and meals. Applicants must be at least 21 years old.

Call for Proposals FRAME 301, Montserrat College of Art is looking for emerging or established installation artist located in the Boston or greater Boson area to create site-specific work to be exhibited monthly in its alternative, street side gallery window. Proposals must include artist’s written concept, visual examples of how the artist intends to use the space, and a resume with complete contact information. Send proposals to Lydia.Gordon01@gmail.com
