Call for Art  The South Arkansas Arts Center is currently accepting entries for their national juried exhibition. This year’s juror is Dayton Castleman, Museum Manager for 21c Museum inside the 21c Museum Hotel Bentonville in northwest Arkansas. Call for Art Artists are invited to submit to Cape Cod Art Association’s national open juried exhibit. The exhibit will run July 17-August 18. Over $3,000 in prizes available including Best American Landscape. Learn more.

Creative Nonfiction Prize A prize of $12,000 and publication by Graywolf Press is given occasionally for a work-in-progress of creative nonfiction by a writer not yet established in the genre. U.S. writers who have published at least one book in any genre are eligible. Learn more.

Unpublished Short Stories Recommended Reading, a magazine by Electric Literature, is now accepting open submissions of short stories 2,000-10,000 words in length. Learn more.

Mid-Career Painting Residency Award The Headlands Center for the Arts’ Chiaro Award offers a sponsored artist residency and cash prize for an accomplished mid-career painter residing in the United States. Residencies of six to ten weeks include dedicated use of a private studio, chef-prepared meals, comfortable housing, and a cash award of $15,000. Learn more.

Call to Artists Entries are now being accepted for the Mass Audubon Moose Hill Gallery’s exhibit Flowers (July – October 2014). Submit up to five (8″x10″) photographic prints, for judging purposes only. Any medium is acceptable. All prints must be labeled on the back with name, contact information, dimensions of framed work, title of piece and medium. Entry fee is $15. Provide a stamped return envelope to fit your artwork if you would like it returned. Submissions can be dropped off or mailed to: Jan Nareski Goba, 293 Moose Hill St, Sharon, MA 02067. Digital Image Residencies Applications are now being accepted at the Centre SAGAMIE (Alma, Quebec) for artist residencies occurring between October 2014 and September 2015. The residency offers contemporary visual artists research/creation residencies focusing on digital image processing and large-scale digital printing. Call for Art Entries are now being accepted for the Mighty Tieton’s fifth international juried exhibition. All media, all visual disciplines. Sculpture, painting, drawing, prints, craft, photography, film/video/projection, made within the previous three years. Photographers Entries are being accepted for the Photography Center of Cape Cod’s next online photography contest, NIGHT. The best submissions will be featured in an online image gallery with cash prizes available for first, second and two honorable mentions. This exhibit is an opportunity for all photographers to create moving and powerful images inspired by nightfall. Learn more.
