Photography  The Photographic Resource Center is currently accepting entries for their show Instantly Yours: A One of a Kind Exhibition of Instant & Instagram Photography (January 21, 2016 – February 21, 2016). Drop off your photos during regular business hours, Thursdays 11-8pm, and Fridays 11-4pm. For more info email info@prcboston.org.  Learn more.

Short Stories Short story entries are now being accepted for the Literal Latté’s K. Margaret Grossman Fiction Award. The winner will receive a prize of $1,000 and publication in Literal Latté. Learn more.
Deadline: January 15, 2016

Poetry, Short Stories Entries are now being accepted for the Ciardi/Chandra Prizes. Winner receives  $1,000 each and publication by BkMk Press for either a poetry collection or a short story collection. Submit a manuscript of 50 to 110 pages of poetry or 125 to 300 pages of short fiction. Learn more.

Painting Portrait Award The Portrait Award, now in its thirty-seventh year at the National Portrait Gallery in London, is now accepting painting entries. With a first prize of £30,000, and a total prize fund of £61,000, the Award is aimed at encouraging artists to focus upon and develop portraiture in their work. The competition is open to everyone aged 18 and over. Learn more.

Filmmakers Entries are now being accepted for the Boston LGBT Film Festival. They are seeking films about in the following categories: Documentary Feature, Narrative Feature, Narrative Short, Documentary Short, and Experimental. Learn more.

Visual Artist Residency The Goetemann Artist Residency at Rocky Neck in Gloucester is currently accepting applications from visual artists to fill three one-month residencies between May 15 and October 31, 2016. Learn more.
Deadline: March 15, 2016
