Craft Artists Applications are currently being accepted for the American Craft Fair, hosted by Fuller Craft Museum and Worcester Center for Crafts (June 13-14, 2026, Brockton, MA). Please note that this is not a first come, first served process. All applications are reviewed based on how each artist contributes to the overall experience of the fair. The Black Lawrence Fellowship for New Immigrant Authors The fellowship is for immigrant authors at the start of their literary careers, who have published no more than one book in any genre at the time of application. The fellowship is open to immigrant authors who have published no more than one book at the time of application. Learn more.

Greater Lowell Artists Wanted for the Arts Elevate Training Program The Greater Lowell Community Foundation invites greater Lowell artists to join Arts Elevate’s Artist Training Program, a comprehensive training experience that prepares artists to lead embedded residencies with nonprofits serving youth, veterans, and seniors across Greater Lowell. The in-person, full-day, immersive training covers: the philosophy and research behind arts-based wellness interventions; deep dive into the create-connect-catalyze framework for youth outcomes; flow state optimization techniques for creative programming; practical insights from current Arts Elevate resident artists; strategies for effective nonprofit partnership. They welcome artists of all disciplines—visual arts, music, dance, theater, film, spoken word, poetry, literary arts, multimedia, craft, and folk/traditional arts. Priority consideration given to artists who live or work in GLCF’s 21-community region and those from underrepresented backgrounds. Saturday, May 23, 2026, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Lowell, MA (venue details upon acceptance). Cost: FREE—all materials and lunch provided. You must be able to commit to the full day. Space is limited to 15-20 artists to ensure a rich, collaborative learning experience. Completing this training creates a pathway to future embedded artist opportunities with Arts Elevate partner organizations. Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grants This grant supports emerging and established contemporary visual arts writers. Ranging from $15,000 to $50,000 in four categories — articles, books, short-form writing, and translation — the grants support projects addressing both general and specialized art audiences. Call to Artists Falmouth Art Center’s Summer 2026 Open Juried Exhibition will be held in the Falmouth Art Center’s Hermann Gallery. Artwork will be hung in the main gallery, offering visitors to Falmouth Art Center an opportunity to view the selected images. Both 2D and 3D art work accepted.  No photography for this exhibit. Fees: member fee is $15.00 for the first entry and $10 for each entry after the first; nonmembers fee is $20.00 for the first entry and $15 for each entry after the first. Artist Fellowships Artists for Humanity (AFH) is excited to open applications for the 2026 Artists Fellowship program. This 6-month fellowship offers a transformative opportunity for five emerging to mid-career level local artists to work directly with a prominent professional Mentor and AFH Fellowship Program Director to refine their artistic research process while developing a meaningful body of work that culminates in a final exhibition. Fellows will gain valuable experience in collaborative project development and work closely with their Mentor (Michael Talbot), the Program Director (Alison Drasner), and a cohort of fellow artists. The program also provides a stipend, professional development workshops, resources, and access to the dynamic AFH network. Learn more.

National Heritage Fellowships Nominations The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA)  is now accepting nominations for the 2027 NEA National Heritage Fellowships. These fellowships are the nation’s highest honor in the folk and traditional arts and recognize artists and individuals who have significantly contributed to our nation’s rich cultural heritage. Nominees must be actively participating in their respective art form, whether as practitioners, mentors, instructors, or scholars, and must be worthy of national recognition. Learn more.

Artist Residency Applications are currently being accepted for the Cuttyhunk Island Artists’ Residency: 2026 Fall Residency. CIAR’s Fall Artists’ Residency (September 9 – 16, 2026) offers visual artists focused time and a uniquely supportive environment to develop their work. Learn more.

Artist Residency Applications are currently being accepted for the Studios of Key West: Peyton Evans Artist Resideny Program.  The program provides residencies to visual artists, writers, composers, musicians, media artists, performers, and interdisciplinary artists. Filmmakers Limitless Frames Media is welcoming disability and neurodivergence communities to utilize film as a platform to express their creativity. Films should be under 10 minutes and should be (1) from filmmakers in the neurodivergent and/or disability community, or (2) disability focused films: film topics must be centered around or explore the topic neurodivergence, visual impairments, or physical disabilities. Submission categories for youth ages 7-16 and 17+. Learn more.

Exhibition Proposals The Piano Craft Gallery has announced its call for proposals for 2027 exhibitions. They will accept proposals from Boston-based artists, groups, collectives, and curators that represent the diversity of art-making in the city. Artists should be encouraged to visit Piano Craft Gallery and to review their floor plan before submitting a proposal. Submission is free, but donations and Gala ticket sales are greatly appreciated. Nantucket Artist Residency The Nantucket Island School of Design and the Arts (NISDA) is accepting applications for Offshore Artist Residencies in Nantucket, Massachusetts. The NISDA Artist Community welcomes emerging and professional artists and educators in all fields including, but not limited to, photography, painting, ceramics, textiles, writing, music, performance and any interdisciplinary projects committed to the creative process. Low-Residency Fellowship The Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM) is accepting applications for the inaugural Robert Motherwell and Renate Ponsold Research Fellowship, supported by the Robert Motherwell and Renate Ponsold Scholars Endowment Fund. This is a one-year, low-residency fellowship supporting original research on the visual art and artists of Outer Cape Cod with a primary emphasis on the art and artists of Provincetown. Learn more.

Call to Artists The Ocean VI Virtual Art Residency is currently accepting applications. In this program, artists develop a project that aligns with the residency’s theme and results in a clear, tangible outcome. Their work explores the many dimensions of the ocean through technical approaches, conceptual inquiry, personal reflection, and experiential research. Inspired by the UN Ocean Decade, each project should thoughtfully engage with ocean conservation, education, and the broader efforts to protect and sustain our marine environments. Learn more.
