From the land where dinosaurs once roamed the earth (and yes there exists a three-toed fossil to prove it), the Turners Falls RiverCulture Project is requesting proposals for a temporary art installation (lasting up to 3 years) for a public walkway connecting downtown Turners Falls to the residential hill section of Turners Falls. The project budget is $4,500. So if this sounds like your cup of tea, dont dilly-dally because the deadline to apply is Thursday December 4th.
And for those residents of the commonwealth who have not yet traveled to the western part of the state, you might be interested in reading this recent Boston Globe article about Turner Falls. Its a pretty cool place with a wide range of artists calling it home, and not to mention some baby bald eagles too.
