Performing Artists NEFA’s New England States Touring (NEST) grant program provides support to New England-based nonprofit organizations (known as presenters) for performances and community activities by select New England performing artists. Learn more.

Artist Residency The White Mountain National Forest & Arts Alliance of Northern NH is currently accepting  applications for their Artist-in-Residence Program. Artists in all media are invited to apply. The program seeks to highlight the ways the arts can be used to explore and interpret the forest environment and forest-related issues. Learn more.

Writers Ploughshares Emerging Writer’s Contest is currently accepting nonfiction, fiction, and poetry entries. Winners published in Winter 2013–2014 issue and each receive a $1,000 prize. Submit 3–5 poems or under 5,000 words of prose. Learn more.

National Call Looking@Democracy: A national contest for creative media pieces about strengthening American democracy is currently accepting submissions. submission in any digital format such as short videos, audio stories, animation, music videos, public service announcements, infographics, graphic art, even Facebook and iPhone apps. The Looking@Democracy challenge is offering a total of $100,000 in prize money for short, provocative media submissions designed to spark a national conversation about how we can all come together to strengthen American democracy.
