This is the fastest way to the art exhibition!

Digital Art and Photography The LACDA 2012, an international competition for digital art and photography, is now accepting entries. Artwork and photography where digital processes of any kind were integral to the creation of the images are acceptable. The selected winner receives 10 prints up to 44×60 inches on museum quality paper (approximately a $2,500-$3,000 value) to be shown in a solo exhibition their main gallery. Ten second place winners will also be exhibited. Learn more.

Public Art Proposals are being sought for a public art work honoring the Sicilian fishermen of Boston’s North End. The work will be located on the north side of Long Wharf near the remnants of T Wharf, which along with Eastern Packard Pier and Commercial Wharf in Boston’s North End formed the commercial center of activity for the neighborhood. Budget: $100,000. Learn more.

Experimental Technology-Based Artwork COLLISIONcollective is currently accepting submissions of experimental technology-based artwork for an exhibition that will open at the Boston Cyberarts Gallery in Jamaica Plain on Friday, November 9, 2012. Learn more.

Jewelry Grant Emerging Artist Award The Emerging Artist Award (EAA) is currently accepting applications. The EAA is awarded to makers of contemporary art jewelry who have completed their academic/professional training and are making new work as part of their post-training career. In addition to the $7,500 award, the winner of the EAA will have their work shown at SOFA NY or COLLECT in London with an AJF member gallery and will give a short talk as part of the lecture series. Residency The Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve 2013 Artist-in-Residence Program is currently accepting applications from professional digital artists, writers, composers, musicians, two and three-dimensional visual artists, photographers, filmmakers, and artisans of all types the opportunity to pursue their art in a premier wilderness setting. Call for Articles, Reviews,Visual Art, Sonic Art, Performances Body, Space & Technology, an on-line interdisciplinary, innovative refereed journal is currently accepting submissions from all aspects of contemporary arts and new technologies. As well as articles, perspectives and reviews of books they are actively seeking reviews of performance and visual and sonic art. Call for Artists NEW EMERGING ARTISTS is currently accepting Submissions for a 5-Person Exhibition at MIAMI PROJECT, which runs along Art Basel on December 4-9, 2012 and features 65 galleries from around the world.  All artists must be at least 18 years old. Call for Drawing The Beard & Weil Galleries at Wheaton College is currently accepting entries for their inaugural biennial exhibition 2013 Wheaton Biennial: Drawing Out of Bounds. Experimental work in all disciplines (sculpture, film, installation, printmaking, and more) that reconsiders the boundaries of drawing is accepted. Call to Artists The Heritage Museums & Gardens in Sandwich invites artists, designers and engineers to participate in Moving Landscapes: an outdoor sculpture exhibit, an outdoor sculpture exhibit of solar, wind, water, and human-powered kinetic sculpture for the 2013 season. An open house will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 2-4pm for artists to learn more about the project and to visit the grounds on which the sculptures will be displayed. Learn more.

Sculpture Residency The Sculpture Space, in Utica, New York is currently accepting applications from artists whose focus is sculpture for a two-month residency between September 2013 and August 2014. Eighteen to twenty residents are selectively chosen each year; a stipend of $2000 is awarded to offset costs (dependent on funding). Learn more
