Deadline Today: Grants for Artists, Culture Bearers, Creative Individuals The Mass Cultural Council’s Grants for Creative Individuals program aims to equitably advance creative expression throughout the Commonwealth with unrestricted grants to Massachusetts artists, culture bearers, and creative individuals. Grants are $5,000. Learn more.

The New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA) Idea Swap Mechanics Hall in Worcester, MA on November 6, 2025 from 9am-5pm. IdeaSwap: Where Collaborative Touring Conversations Start. This annual event is for New England-based nonprofit cultural organizations to network and share ideas for performing arts, literary arts, and film projects that are available for presentation in New England communities. The Idea Swap is an opportunity to develop collaborations and partnerships that will result in applications to NEFA’s Crossroads: Touring New England (formerly known as NEST 3/Expeditions) grant program. Cross Sector Resource: Native American Tuition Credit  Native Americans living in Massachusetts may be eligible for tuition assistance at a state college or university. This resource is also referenced in our Native American and Indigenous Peoples Equity Plan. Learn more.

Dunamis Emerging Artist Fellowship Are you searching for a creative community? Passionate about creating art? Unsure how to navigate the creative industry? Need clarity in discovering artistic identity/perspective? The Emerging Artist Fellowship (EAF) might be for you! Dunamis is excited to launch it’s EAF program in the Spring of 2026. Their EAF program provides professional development training for emerging artists of color. Over the course of a year, you will have access to workshops, masterclasses, social events and one-on-one coaching to help develop your artistic lens and kickstart your career as a creative entrepreneur. Of Note: Artists Sunday – Shop Art the Sunday after Thanksgiving is a nationwide art-shopping event held the Sunday after Thanksgiving with more than 4,500 members. Participants include 500+ local communities, including arts agencies, cities, counties, state agencies, chambers of commerce, and organizations and 4,000+ individual artists.

Call for Vendors The Armenian Cultural and Educational Center (ACEC) invites people to join them as a vendor at their Holiday Market in Watertown, a festive community celebration that showcases a curated selection of small businesses and artisans offering everything from handcrafted jewelry and artwork to pre-packaged gourmet holiday treats and unique gifts. Professional Development Creative Capital offers free, online professional workshop Marketing Fundamentals for Artists. Part 1: Building the Foundation of Your Artistic Brand on November 5th from 1-2pm on Zoom. In the first session of this two part series, presented by arts marketing specialist Molaundo Jones, artists will establish the core elements of their personal brand. Through guided reflection, participants will clarify their goals, define their audiences, and understand how these foundational elements inform every marketing decision. The workshop will also cover best practices for social media marketing and introduce strategies for effective content creation.Learn more and register.

Free Webinar on Digital Archives for Artists  The Cloud Ate My Homework, November 5, 2025, 1:30 p.m. CT. In this Arts Midwest webinar listen to an expert’s overview of the why, what, and how of digital archives for artists and arts organizations. Then, get practical, actionable guidance on the simple steps anyone can take to start caring for their digital materials. Learn more and register.

LGBTQIA2+ Open Mic  if you can Feel it, you can Speak it  will occur on November 9, 2025 from 5:30-9:00 pm at the Civic Pavilion on City Hall Plaza. Events feature an open mic, feature a performer, free food, and good music. The open mic list will be available at the door, and is first-come, first-serve.  This is the only monthly open mic in the greater Boston area dedicated to voices of the LGBTQIA2+ communities of color and their accomplices. New Fiscal Sponsorship Program The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod (AFCC) is expanding its support for the region’s creative community with the launch of a new Fiscal Sponsorship Program in January 2026. The program is designed to help artists and creative groups raise funds for public benefit projects that connect, engage, and inspire communities through the arts. Fiscal sponsorship allows individual artists and unincorporated collectives to access some of the same funding opportunities as nonprofit organizations, including grants restricted to 501(c)(3) entities and tax-deductible donations from individual supporters. Applications for the inaugural cycle open January 1, 2026. Artists and collectives working on public benefit projects are encouraged to apply. An online information session will be held on November 7th at 10 AM to help prospective applicants learn more about eligibility, the application process, and how fiscal sponsorship can support their creative goals. VSA Emerging Young Artists Program The Access/VSA Emerging Young Artists Program, a Jean Kennedy Smith Arts and Disability Program, amplifies the voices of emerging visual artists through career development and professional empowerment. This national juried exhibition seeks artwork that demonstrates the excellence and important perspectives of artists with disabilities, ages 16-25, residing in the United States. Fifteen artists each receive a $3,000 financial stipend, engage in professional development activities at the Kennedy Center, and have one of their submitted works featured in an exhibition that tours the United States. Studio 170 Residency Call for Proposals for 2026 The Goethe-Institut Boston invites New England creatives from all fields of artistic practice to submit proposals for a Studio 170 Residency in 2026. Call for Photographers The Photographic Resource Center (PRC) invites artists to apply to the exhibit Common Ground. The PRC invites artists to explore how we form, sustain, and imagine community. Up to thirty photographers will be selected for the online exhibition, which will be accompanied by a catalog available for digital download or physical preorder, with printed copies shipping by the end of December. Juried by Alexa Cushing and Connor Noll of Panopticon Imaging & Gallery. Learn more.

Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity – Visual Arts Residencies Explore new directions in your work and benefit from time, studio space, facilities, feedback, and engagement with peers and faculty in an unrivaled natural environment in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The application fee is $65 ($35 for applicants who identify as Indigenous). Learn more.

Professional Development for Cape and Island Artists The Arts Foundation’s Creative Exchange Capacity Building Program is designed to help you take the next step in your artistic journey. This four-month experience provides the tools, resources, and connections you need to build a thriving creative career on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket. Includes a $1,000 capacity-building grant upon completing the program. Learn more.

Connecticut Sea Grant Through its Arts Support Awards Program, will award up to $1000 to an artist or group of artists. The winning submission will be selected on the basis of aesthetic quality, relevance to coastal and marine environments and Connecticut Sea Grant themes, as well as its potential impact on the wider public and new audiences. Artists or groups of artists who live in Connecticut, or non-Connecticut artists whose work is related to Connecticut’s coastal and marine environments and/or Long Island Sound are eligible for funding consideration. All artistic disciplines are eligible. Previous recipients of Sea Grant Arts Awards are not eligible for the following five years. Learn more.
