New Capacity Grant Program for Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin County Artists Applications for the 2025 ValleyCreates Capacity-Building Cohort in partnership with the Community Foundation of Western Mass opens on June 16th. This cohort will be open to artists who live and work in Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin Counties in Massachusetts. The program, offered in partnership with MASS MoCA’s Assets for Artists, pairs a $2,500 grant with coaching, workshops, and artist community-building. The Capacity Grant program has been designed so that each artist determines what they need from a broad array of opportunities, which means that each artist’s path through the program will look a little different. The project will connect local musicians with unique opportunities to showcase their talents to a global audience at Boston Logan International Airport. Currently seeking solo acts who thrive in a busking setting and excel at captivating an ever-changing crowd. The public survey is on high school graduation requirements. Mix NYC Queer Experimental Film Festival MIX NYC (est. 1987) is a nonprofit organization that promotes, produces, and preserves experimental media that speaks to the lives, politics, and experiences of LGBTQIA2S+ individuals. They are committed to providing opportunities for filmmakers to showcase their work to a community that deeply values it. Public Art Brunswick Public Art (BPA) will be commissioning one or more sculptures reusing steel from the Frank J Wood (FJW) Bridge connecting Brunswick and Topsham in Maine. The FJW Bridge will be dismantled in early 2026 after a new bridge is completed immediately upstream. The general contractor for the bridge replacement has committed to provide steel from the FJW bridge for use in this project. BPA is seeking initial conceptual visions for sculptures to be permanently installed in one or more locations near the entrance to the new bridge. From this pool of submissions, BPA will select a limited number of concepts for further development through paid stipends. A final project for installation will be selected at the conclusion of this process. Learn more.

Loghaven Artist Residency Loghaven in Knoxville, Tennessee, invites emerging and established artists working in architecture, dance, interdisciplinary art, music, theater, visual art, and writing to apply. All resident artists receive a living stipend of $850 per week in addition to travel and freight reimbursement. Artists can find inspiration across Loghaven’s award-winning 90-acre campus, which includes beautifully rehabilitated log cabins and light-filled studio spaces. Learn more.

Performing Artists Residency Open Doors Performing Arts Residency at CROMA Space is designed to support performing artists in presenting new or existing work to Boston’s audiences, providing essential in-kind resources such as venue space and technical, production, and marketing support. The selected performing artists will work with Ágora Cultural Architect’s consultants to program, produce, promote, and present their project as part of CROMA Space seasons (from September 2025 to June 2026).
