Creative Sector Summit The 2025 Creative Sector Summit is four weeks from today on Friday, June 6th from 10 AM – 5 PM at the Northampton Center for the Arts. The Creative Sector Summit is an annual convening of cultural thought leaders, artists, creatives, policy advocates, educators, culture bearers, arts administrators, teaching artists, and public officials. Emergency Funding for Musicians The Musicians Foundation offers one-time financial assistance is open to professional musicians across all genres. You must be a professional music performer, composer/arranger, or educator in a specific time of need caused by an unexpected hardship (e.g., medical or dental situation, natural disaster, or certain housing crises). Visual Arts Artist-in-Residence at The Umbrella Arts Center Join an active and vibrant multidisciplinary art center with 50 artist studios in the historic center of Concord, MA.The Artist in Residence (AiR) program primarily offers a studio space with exhibition and teaching opportunities ava ilable. Applicants must be within the first five years of completing an MFA or equivalent program, and may work in any medium including painting, sculpture, installation, photography, textiles, digital media, film, mixed media, and interdisciplinary or public art. Call for Art Transcendence is a regional Pride exhibition hosted by the NH Art Association, open to artists across New England. We invite work that speaks to the depth and diversity of LGBTQIA+ experiences—art that communicates authenticity, explores identity, and celebrates acceptance. Whether bold or intimate, political or personal, Transcendence seeks to uplift voices and stories that reflect the ongoing journey of self-expression and belonging within the LGBTQIA+ community. This exhibition is not just for established artists—they warmly welcome submissions from community members who may not even identify as artists but have something meaningful to share. Call to Artists Art Fluent’s grant cycle is now open to individual artists through an international open call. The Evolution Grant will provide unrestricted funding to an individual artist with recognized artistic excellence in fine art media and a demonstrated commitment to their art. $1,000 to one visual artist each grant cycle. Unrestricted funds applied toward any expense to enhance the artist’s ability to create work. Learn more.

Artist Residency The Nantucket Island School of Design and Arts is accepting applications for their NISDA Artist Residencies. The NISDA Artist Community welcomes emerging and professional artists and educators in all fields including, but not limited to, classical photography, painting, ceramics, textiles, writing, music, performance and any alternative projects committed to the creative process. NISDA is especially interested in interdisciplinary art, art in the environment and conceptual works. We welcome educators pursuing the integration of the arts and interdisciplinary projects in their classrooms. NISDA’s residency is an on-your-own, self-structured experience that provides time and studio space for personal renewal. In June, July, August, September + October you may arrange open studio time to work in NISDA’s Long Shed Ceramics Studio at SeaView Farm, in addition to working in your Atlantic House Residency Studio or in the Nantucket landscape.
