Of Note: The Sound Health Alliance (SHA) is a network of organizations at the forefront of global music and health initiatives. They are working to elevate and advance music’s role in health and well-being by promoting research, sharing resources, and expanding public awareness. On March 27, 2026, SHA is launching the inaugural convening: Sound Health in Action: Arts and Health for Military and Veterans. Hosted by the Berklee Music and Health Institute, and with presentations from Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network, this gathering will focus on advancing innovative, evidence-informed approaches to support military and veteran health and well-being. Through shared experience, accessible science, and cross-sector dialogue, participants will explore how the arts can be integrated across systems of care. Community Advisors The Community Foundation of Metrowest (CFMW) is seeking 3-5 Community Advisors to support and shape the work of ARTbuilds MetroWest. These community advisors will meet with the Foundation monthly over the course of 9 months to discuss needs in the arts and culture sector, and identify and engage key stakeholders. Between meetings, Community Advisors will complete assignments co-created with the Foundation and aligned with the responsibilities outlined below. The Community Advisors’ partnership and feedback will also inform the implementation of ARTbuilds MetroWest’s grantmaking strategy. The compensation for this position is $6,500 for 9 months. New: MITx Arts Entrepreneurship Course Starts March 25 Mass Cultural Council is excited to spotlight a new Arts Entrepreneurship course available on MITx, offering artists and creatives a professional development opportunity to help them build financially sustainable careers while staying true to their creative vision. This course was funded, in part, through a $60,000 grant to MIT Sloan School of Management, one of the world’s top-ranked business schools, from Mass Cultural Council. MITx is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) online learning initiative, delivering courses created by MIT faculty to learners around the world through digital platforms. This free course features 12 modules and practical exercises designed to equip artists with business skills, and to advance their ability to strategically and sustainably generate revenue through their creative work.  Class begins on March 25, 2026 and runs through June 25, 2026. Call to Artists 2nd Annual Berkshire LGBTQ+ Pride Art Exhibit, Amplifying Queer Creativity (June 11-July 5). As efforts to erase and defund all Diversity, Equity & Inclusion efforts in government, education, & the arts escalate,a coalition of local organizations (Becket Arts Center, Q-MoB, & Berkshire Queer History Project) are responding in a very creative Berkshire way: they are hosting the second Berkshire LGBTQ+ Pride Art Exhibit celebrating local LGBTQ+ artists. All local LGBTQ+ Local Artists are invited to submit their work. Learn more.

Call to Artists The Mosesian Center for the Arts invites artists to submit work for their exhibition Altered States: Transformation in Art. All media are welcome, including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, 3D work, mixed media, video, installation, and sound. Artists may submit up to 5 pieces of work at $15 per submission. City of Pittsfield’s 2nd Annual Artist-In-Residence Opportunity The Lichtenstein Center for the Arts’ 2nd Annual Artist-in-Residence program offers an exciting opportunity for an artist to gain creative space and exposure while engaging with the local arts community. The program not only provides a free 11-month studio space starting in May 2026, but also includes a group exhibition in October 2026, giving the resident artist a platform to showcase their work alongside the other artists. Call to Artists The Massachusetts Environmental Trust (MET) has a call for art to Massachusetts artists for North Atlantic Right Whale Conservation artwork to be featured at the Trust’s Massachusetts Right Whale Day Celebration on Friday, April 24, 2026 at the New England Aquarium. Artwork must depict anatomically accurate North Atlantic right whale physical characteristics. Selected artwork will be featured in MET’s charitable online auction to benefit the Marine Mammal Conservation Program. Artists can select a 50/50 split or 100% contribution. No fee to apply. Photographers Griffin Museum has announced a call for the exhibit, Vision(ary),  the museum’s 7th annual summer public art exhibition dedicated to the art of visual storytelling. Juried by Elizabeth Krist (former Senior Photo Editor with National Geographic) this public art installation features individual exhibitions with distinct photographic styles, including banners hung on light standards and art installations around the Griffin Museum in Winchester, MA. For its 2026 edition, Raising Our Voices, artists are encouraged to submit a complete or near-to-completion project that falls within the umbrella of advocacy and social justice. Entry Fee: $45.00. Danforth Annual Juried Exhibition Emerging and established artists in all media are invited to submit work to the 2026 Danforth Annual Juried Exhibition. Online submissions only. Artists must be at least 18 years old and live or work in New England (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont). Fee: $50.00. Learn more.

Miniature Scaled Public Art Works  Bright Matter Studio is seeking proposals for miniature scaled public art works for FUN SIZED, a Tiny Public Art Festival this September 26 & 27th, 2026 in downtown Northampton, MA simultaneous with Northampton’s Jazz Fest! Rather than large-scale spectacle, the festival focuses on small, site-specific artworks designed to reward attention.  Visitors follow clues on a printed and digital map to discover fifteen miniature public artworks hidden throughout downtown. Fun Sized is a curated, small-scale public art festival that reimagines overlooked architectural details, alleyways, storefront edges and urban fragments as sites for artistic intervention.  Bright Matter Studio is looking for proposals that are site-responsive and could be, but not limited to, miniature murals, mosaics, installations, or temporal activations. Documentary Film Award The Ellis-Beauregard foundation, together with the Points North Institute, is launching the Ellis-Beauregard Documentary Film Award to support visionary non-fiction filmmakers. EBF will provide one $50,000 award to a documentary project currently in post-production, and Points North will welcome the project to Maine for a creative editing retreat to be timed with the 2026 Camden International Film Festival. Call for Art In conjunction with Biddeford Maine’s annual Juneteenth Celebration, there will be a multi day gallery-style art show downtown Biddeford, celebrating the community’s BIPOC visual artists. Curated by Hogfarm Studios, (Black and Brown artists, Biddeford community members) the Juneteenth Art Show is a call to BIPOC identifying artists in Maine and Northern New England. Call to Artists The Providence Art Club invites artists from across the United States to apply for its annual National Open Juried Exhibition, one of the most popular exhibitions of its kind. This exhibition is open to work in any media, theme, or style and the show will be juried by Leah Triplett, Curator of Contemporary Art at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA). $6,000 in prizes will be awarded. Collective Futures Fund Collective Futures Fund is a local artist grant providing support to radical, risk-taking, socially engaged projects in the Greater Boston area. Applications are accepted in three categories: Sustaining Practice, New Projects, and Ongoing Platforms. Visual artists, independent curators, and collectives across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Middlesex, and Plymouth counties are welcome to apply. The current application cycle will open March 30.
