Craft Artists Applications are currently being accepted for the Society of Arts + Crafts Jumpstarter program. They are offering two $3,000 grants to help artists push boundaries and explore exciting new directions in their work. When craft artists are ready to bring their solutions and innovations to the next stage, however, they often lack the necessary funds to make investments toward their new direction. Indigenous Haute Couture Banff Centre for Arts & Creativity is accepting applications for their Indigenous Haute Couture – Creation & Embellishments 2025 Associated Residency Program. This five-week hybrid residency, led by D’Arcy Moses, supports twelve Indigenous designers in advancing their personal design projects. The online portion equips designers to arrive on campus ready to create haute couture garments or accessories. Once on campus, they will focus on pattern development and embellishments while benefiting from full access to our Visual Arts facilities. Workshops on pattern drafting and embellishments will help designers achieve an haute couture aesthetic. There will also be sessions with cultural workers to explore beading, tufting, and quilling techniques. Participants will work in one of our Glyde Hall studios, with opportunities to showcase progress. This program is open to individual Indigenous fashion makers, designers, and design companies, including those working with a collaborator from regional, national, and global locations. Learn more.

Call for Emerging Artists: Summer Group Exhibition Smack Mellon seeks artwork submissions for a summer group exhibition to be guest-curated by New York City-based writer and curator Pallavi Surana. This exhibition conceptually departs from the salt marsh—a transitional zone between terrestrial and aquatic environments that provides critical habitat for a variety of species. As ecosystems, salt marshes carry an inherent tension and exist as intermediaries: between land and sea, and between a perceived desolation and vitality. Learn more.

Project Grants The New England Foundation for the Arts is accepting applications for the Public Art for Spatial Justice program. Massachusetts-based artists and organizations working with artists can apply for this project grant. Projects must take place in Massachusetts and creatively cultivate expressions or embodiments of spatial justice through public artmaking. All artistic disciplines are welcome to apply. Public Art for Spatial Justice grants range from $15,000-$30,000, for up to two-year grant period beginning March 2025 through February 2027. Learn more.

Request for Sculpture Proposals Studios Without Walls (SWW), a longstanding artist collective dedicated to public art, invites sculptors to submit proposals for its 26th annual exhibition, “Dream Along the River.” The exhibition will be a temporary environmental installation along the scenic Riverway Park in Brookline, MA, running from May 24th to September 1st, 2025. This year’s theme, “Dream Along the River,” encourages artists to create sculptures that evoke a sense of wonder and possibility, drawing inspiration from the natural beauty of the Muddy River and its surrounding landscape. Call to Autistic Media Makers Marvels of Media Festival welcomes submissions of film, animation, video art, virtual reality, episodic series, and video games created by autistic media-makers. A selection of media-makers will be celebrated through an exhibition, film screenings, and in-depth panel discussions. Emerging autistic media-makers of all ages will have a chance to learn from industry experts and independent filmmakers on the spectrum with media workshops. Film and Video Production and Post Production Funds New England-based directors and producers seeking production and post-production funds for feature-length (40+ min) nonfiction film and video projects are encouraged to apply for LEF’s next grant. A maximum of eight (8) grants of $15,000 each will be awarded to projects in the Production phase, and a maximum of six (6) grants of $25,000 each will be awarded to projects in the Post-production phase during LEF’s major grants review. Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant The Foundation provides financial resources for visual artists to create new work, acquire supplies, rent studio space, prepare for exhibitions, attend a residency and offset living expenses. The Foundation welcomes, throughout the year, applications from visual artists who are painters, sculptors and artists who work on paper, including printmakers. There are no deadlines. Grants are intended for a one-year period of time. The size of the grant is determined by the individual circumstances of the artist. Professional exhibition history will be taken into consideration. Artists must be actively exhibiting their current work in professional artistic venues, such as gallery and museum spaces. Learn more.
