Utrecht Art Supplies is hosting a 60th Anniversary Contest in honor of six decades of artists patronage and creativity. They will be awarding over $12,000 in total prizes including a $3,000 cash award to the Grand Prize winner. Artists are invited to submit works created in oil, acrylic, watercolor or mixed media. The Gallery at the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) is planning After Poe: Works of Mystery and Imagination, a juried exhibition of works conceptually in keeping with the mood and spirit of Edgar Allan Poe, to open in October 2009.
