Call to Artists, Performers, Cultural Organizations Request for Proposals (RFPs) are open for artists, cultural organizations, and creative businesses to apply to perform or exhibit during Creative Sector Day at the State House on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Performances and displays will be open to the public from 1 – 3 PM, and all selected participants will receive a $300 stipend for their work. Only artists, cultural organizations, and creative businesses based in Massachusetts are eligible to apply. Learn more and apply.

Update to Sculpture at the Mount Call for Submissions Due to technical difficulties with the application form, all new application submissions to Sculpture at The Mount will be accepted by email. If you submitted an application but have not received a confirmation email, contact Jackie Christensen at Sculpture@EdithWharton.org or 413-551-5110 to confirm your application has been received. TO SUBMIT A NEW APPLICATION, please paste the answer to the questions below in an email; send to: Sculpture@EdithWharton.org and use the subject line 2026 Sculpture at The Mount.
1.) Your information: Name, Email, Address, Telephone, Website.
2.) Sculpture Information: Existing or Proposed Sculpture, Artwork Title, Medium, Dimensions (H x W x D), Weight.
3.) Describe the installation of your sculpture: Please include the sculpture’s footprint in square feet, any requirement to remove sod/turf, the material of the base if applicable, as well as how it is secured to the ground to ensure stability. Does this installation require any special equipment? Please outline any important information regarding your installation that the jury should know.
4.) Does your artwork require power?
5.) Does the installation of your sculpture require a crane?
6.) Attach Artist Biography/CV
7) Attach Project Statement responding to “Flourish” theme (up to 500 words)
8.) Attach supporting images or provide a link
9.) (Respond “Yes”) If selected, I understand that Sculpture at The Mount is a free, outdoor exhibition that is open to the public daily, dawn to dusk. All materials – from the artwork itself to installation materials – will be appropriate for the outdoors and able to withstand all types of weather, including extreme heat, direct sunlight, heavy rain, and high-speed winds. The artwork may not pose any harm to the public and will not cause permanent damage to The Mount or its surrounding landscape.
10.) (Respond “Yes”) If selected, I understand that I am responsible for the full installation and deinstallation of my artwork, and I will provide all materials needed for installation and deinstallation. Installation Dates: May 18-20; Deinstallation Dates: October 26-28.
11.) (Respond “Yes”) If selected, I understand The Mount will have permission to use images of my artwork for publicity, promotional, and educational purposes related to the 2026 Sculpture at The Mount and future Sculpture at The Mount exhibitions.

Professional Development for Artists Registration Is Open for Assets for Artists January & February Virtual Workshops. All workshops are completely free and open to artists of all disciplines who are based in New England. February workshops include: Essentials of Digital Marketing with Francesca Olsen, Wednesday, February 11, 2026 | 2-4PM. In this workshop, Francesca will cover the basics of digital marketing for artists, including the importance of branding, audience building, effective social media, SEO optimization, and website best practices. Suitable for all artists who already have a basic understanding of social media. 100 participants max. Learn more.

Call for Public Art The Seaport Art Walk—New Bedford’s annual outdoor public art exhibition along the waterfront—is officially seeking artist submissions for its 2026 theme “Good Trouble.” This year’s exhibition invites bold, imaginative works that honor the spirit of resistance, community organizing, and speaking truth to power. Inspired by John Lewis’s famous call to “get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America,” the show coincides with the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Submission Categories include: New Outdoor Artwork – Up to $2,500 per piece; Existing Outdoor Artwork – Up to $1,000 per piece; Digital Gallery Exhibition – Up to $250 if selected. Learn more.

Power of Websites with Jessica Burko, Wednesday, February 25, 2026 | 6-8PM. Whether you have an existing site or you’re developing one for the first time, this workshop covers essential principles of design, organization, and usability for boldly sharing your work with the world. Best suited for 2D & 3D visual artists. This workshop is focused on design principles and user experience, and will not cover the nuts and bolts of online sales, SEO, or the logistics of webhosting. 40 participants max. Learn more.

Call to Artists The Marblehead Arts Association (MAA) invites artists from across the country to participate in  Variations exhibit from Apr 18 – Jun 13, 2026. They encourage a diversity of art styles and media to participate in this juried exhibit of 2D and 3D work. (Limited pedestals available). Artwork for Variations will be juried for acceptance by 3 prestigious judges with cash prizes of $1000, $250, and $100 awarded in each of the categories: Fine Arts: Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, 2-D Mixed Media, Digital Art; Photography: Film, Digital (the artist must make the image);  3D work: Sculpture, Crafts, Jewelry, Fabric, Paper. Craft Artists The Spector Craft Prize is an annual initiative launched in 2025 to champion excellence in American craft. The program supports craft artists at pivotal moments in their careers through awards, mentorship, and community-building.  Eligible artists must have maintained a studio practice for seven years or less. Cross Sector Resource:  Attainable Savings Account. ABLE is a tax-free savings account that allows eligible individuals with a disability to set aside funds that won’t count against income or asset limitations from programs like Supplemental Security Income and MassHealth/Medicaid. Those funds can then be put toward qualifying disability expenses without having to worry that your benefits will be negatively impacted. Learn more.
