Photographers The Photography Center of Cape Cod’s online photography contest, NIGHT, offers $475 worth of available prizes. The best submissions will be featured in an online image gallery with cash prizes available for first, second and two honorable mentions. This exhibit is an opportunity for all photographers to create moving and powerful images inspired by nightfall. Learn more

Call to Artists UFORGE Gallery in Jamaica Plain has announced a call to artists for their first-ever juried show.The juror is painter and art professor Enrico Pinardi. Learn more.

Post_Office_Gallery__Logo Call for Artists Post Office Gallery in North Truro Village, MA invites artists to submit work for consideration in a themed, group exhibition that focuses on what defines old Cape Cod. The exhibit will run from August 31 to September 21. All artists (2 and 3 dimensional) are invited to submit up to three HD images of their work for consideration. Artists will be notified if accepted by August 19.  Drop off is August 25. E-mail your name, any questions and your submissions with title/size of each piece/medium and support by August 10 to director@PostOfficeGallery.com. All work must be for sale. No entry fee.

Call to Artists The Davis Art Gallery in Worcester is calling for drawings, as well as mixed media and collage works that include drawing, for their next show Drawing. They will select approximately 35–45 artworks that will appear in the main exhibition space at the gallery from September 11, 2014 through January 9, 2015. Learn more.

Artist-in-Residence The Umbrella Community Arts Center in Concord is now accepting submissions for their new Artist-in-Residence program for the 2014-2015 season. Artists of all media in the first five years of their career who are not enrolled full-time in an academic program are eligible to apply. The artist-in-residence will be awarded a 132 square foot studio with a shared lobby space, and will have the opportunity to live rent-free in a single bedroom cottage within walking distance of The Umbrella. Learn more.

Genre Writers New Rivers Press seeks manuscripts in the genres Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Romance, Science Fiction, Thriller/Suspense, Westerns, Young Adult, Inspirational, and all sub-genres within and across those categories for The New Rivers Press Electronic Book Series, an e-Book-only series that publishes popular fiction titles with literary value. Performing Artists Grants The guidelines and online application are now available for the 2015 USArtists International program. The program provides support for American dance, music, and theater ensembles and solo artists from across the country who have been invited to perform at significant international festivals and, new this year, performing arts markets anywhere in the world outside the United States and its territories.
