Call to Woodworking Artists The Somerville Arts Council in conjunction with City of Somerville’s Public Space and Urban Forestry Division is seeking an experienced wood working artist for a public art project: To revive a deceased tree at their local Marshall Street Playground. They want to show the vibrancy of Somerville, a design that is bold and stands out from a distance, yet reveals more subtle details upon closer inspection. The design can be additive or subtractive, meaning we are open to sculptural elements in addition to woodcarving. Stipend: $2,500. Learn more.

Sculptor Residency The sculptor’s residency will be at Chesterwood, the former studio of Daniel Chester French, located in Stockbridge, MA. The residency will be from June 1 – June 30, 2020. Call for Art Gallery 263 in Cambridge invites artists to submit work that considers truth and fabrication for our upcoming national exhibition, Fact vs. Fiction.
