Cross Sector Resource: Some Massachusetts library services, like borrowing materials, require a library card. Persons who live, work or study in Massachusetts are eligible for a free public library card. Sign up for a Massachusetts Library Card.

Call to Artists Each Lunar New Year, Pao Arts Center welcomes 2,000 visitors to celebrate AAPI arts and culture. This call is an invitation for local artists to contribute to a vibrant collection of artwork that honors the heritage, rituals, and stories surrounding the Lunar New Year. The exhibit will be on view at Pao Arts Center from February 25 – March 27, 2026. All artworks will be for sale with Pao Arts Center retaining a 25% commission and the remaining 75% going directly to the artist. Learn more.

New: The James Library & Center for the Arts (the James) in Norwell is excited to announce the launch of its first Internship Program, offering valuable career development opportunities for students at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels. The new program is designed to provide hands-on experience in nonprofit management, arts administration, community programming, and library services, aligning with the James’ mission to provide educational, entertaining, and enriching programs to the community. First Peoples Fund Yéego Action Grant provides support for the growing landscape of Native artists and culture bearers who need financial assistance with a specific professional opportunity or towards a hardship that is hindering their creative practice. This program offers grants up to $2500 for individual Native artists and culture bearers. Learn more.

Free Professional Development Workshops for Artists The Arts Action Consortium is an initiative led by six Boston-based cultural organizations in collaboration with the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture that offers events, resources, and programming to strengthen and sustain Boston’s creative workforce. Upcoming workshops: Beyond Arts Grants: Creative Solutions for Project Support, Jan. 13, 20, & 27 from 12 – 2 p.m.; Art of Licensing, Jan. 14 from 12 – 2 p.m.; Artists’ Legacy Planning – Nonprofits & Me, Jan. 26 from 6 – 7:30 p.m.; Cultural Organizing for Artists, Jan. 28 from 6 – 8 p.m. Learn more.

Call to Artists, Performers, Cultural Organizations Request for Proposals (RFPs) are open for artists, cultural organizations, and creative businesses to apply to perform or exhibit during Creative Sector Day at the State House on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Performances and displays will be open to the public from 1 – 3 PM, and all selected participants will receive a $300 stipend for their work. Only artists, cultural organizations, and creative businesses based in Massachusetts are eligible to apply. Learn more and apply.

Native American Residency Fellowship for Visual Artists, Writers The Ucross Native American Fellowships for Visual Artists and Writers provide a four-week residency and a stipend of $1,500 and a $2,000 award, as well the opportunity to present work publicly. For visual artists, this entails a featured gallery exhibition at Ucross the following year. For writers, this includes a featured reading and talk. Learn more.

Photographers Entries are currently being accepted for the Photographic Resource Center’s (PRC) Annual Members Exhibition. This exhibition is open to all current PRC members and showcases one print from each participating artist. Every participant may submit one unframed print, making this a vibrant and democratic snapshot of the photographers who make up the PRC community. This is an unframed, print-only exhibition. Each participant may submit one print. Prints must be no larger than 20 inches on the longest side. Framed work will not be accepted. The Photographic Resource Center (PRC) retains 30% of the proceeds from sales of artwork that are sold from the exhibition. Learn more.

Call to Artists Marblehead Arts Association (MAA) is accepting entries for their exhibition Variations (Apr 18 – Jun 13, 2026). They encourage a diversity of art styles and media to participate in this juried exhibit of 2D and 3D work. (Limited pedestals available). Artwork for Variations will be juried for acceptance by 3 prestigious judges with cash prizes of $1000, $250, and $100 awarded in each of the categories: Fine Arts: Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, 2-D Mixed Media, Digital Art; Photography: Film, Digital (the artist must make the image); 3D work: Sculpture, Crafts, Jewelry, Fabric, Paper. Up to 3 pieces of art may be submitted – $35 for 1st entry and $10 each additional entry. MAA Members are eligible for a $10 discount off their 1st entry with coupon code provided by MAA. Learn more.

Musicians The Guitar Center Music Foundation is accepting applications for Grants of Musical Instruments and Equipment for schools and music programs. Deadline: Rolling.
