Of Note: Grants for Creative Individuals program aims to equitably advance creative expression throughout the Commonwealth with unrestricted grants to Massachusetts artists, culture bearers, and creative individuals. Grants are $5,000. Applications open on September 16, 2025. Learn more.

Professional Development Workshop The Arts Action Consortium is hosting a workshop on Navigating Institutions Come join Deshaun Gordon-King of Dunamis Boston for an engaging event where they will  discuss the ins and outs of navigating institutions in the arts world. Whether you’re an artist, curator, or simply curious about how institutions operate, this event is for you. Join them at  15 Channel Center St in Boston for a day filled with insightful discussions, networking opportunities, and maybe even a few surprises along the way. Don’t miss out on this chance to connect with like-minded individuals and gain valuable knowledge about the art world.  This is an in-person event on September 23, 2025 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM.

Cross-Sector Resource: Find your local public access station for media resources!

The Native American Fellowship Program is pleased to announce two 12-24 month fellowship opportunities at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts. The program is currently recruiting for a Curatorial Long-Term Fellow and a Phillips Library Long-Term Fellow to begin in early 2026. Fellows work with PEM’s dynamic staff and gain access to a comprehensive perspective on the theory and practice of museum management. Mentorship from a full-time staff member and in-depth engagement on museum projects support Fellows in sustaining their existing skills while cultivating their professional development needs. Learn more.

Tyler School of Art and Architecture – Edgar Heap of Birds Family Artist Residency
Open to artists whose work focuses on the history and lived experience of North American Indigenous people. Offered January–May 2026 at the Tyler School of Art and Architecture in Philadelphia. Artists receive a $3,500/month stipend, among other benefits. Learn more.

Foundwork Artist Prize Our annual juried award to support outstanding artistic practices. The honoree receives a $10,000 grant and studio visits with jurors Ebony Haynes, Carmen Hermo, Lauren Mackler, Antonia Marsh, and Hugo Vitrani. Three artists will be shortlisted. Artists must be Foundwork members to be considered ($6/month with the option to cancel after the three-month prize selection period). Learn more.

Printmakers The Society of American Graphic Artists (SAGA) is currently accepting entries for their 4th Annual Mini Gems Open Call. SAGA’s Mini Gems is a national, juried miniature print exhibition held in their gallery in Union Square, New York, NY. They will exhibit 200 mini prints on Saturdays from December 6, 2025 – January 10, 2026, giving $1000 in awards. Learn more.

Arts Conference The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod’s Creative Exchange Conference 2025, will occur on October 8, 2025 at the Cotuit Center for the Arts. The conference will bring together artists, cultural leaders, and community members from across the region. Whether you’re a visual artist, performer, writer, designer, or advocate for the arts, this is your space to spark new ideas and build meaningful networks across disciplines.  Learn more.

Creative Entrepreneurs The Creative Entrepreneur Fellowship (CEF) is designed to accelerate the careers and practice of a diverse group of artists and creative solopreneurs. CEF is a customized professional development experience for 8-10 individuals who are selected through a competitive application process. The program kicks off in December 2025 and runs through June 2026. The Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston is currently looking to accept a small, diverse group of solopreneurs, entrepreneurs and artists working to build a professional practice. Coaching and teaching will be conducted in English and Spanish. Candidates for this program may include visual artists (e.g. public artists, photographers, painters, etc.), craft artists and artisans, performing artists, writers, and more. Learn more.

Call to Artists New Hampshire Art Association invites New England artists working in all mediums to submit work for the 26th Annual Joan L. Dunfey Exhibition. This exhibition honors the life and legacy of Joan L. Dunfey (1925–1998), a devoted mother, Seacoast resident, and steadfast patron of the arts whose generosity continues to support artists today through the Joan L. Dunfey Fund for the Arts. The exhibition is open-themed, welcoming diverse artistic voices and perspectives. Artists may submit 1–3 works for consideration. Learn more.

Boston Area Emerging Artists Do you want the chance to see your artwork displayed at Boston City Hall? Emerging artists who live, work, or create in the Greater Boston area are encouraged to submit their artwork to the Fay Chandler Emerging Art Exhibition. Best in Show: $3,000, 50+: $2,000, New Voice: $2,000, 3 Juror’s Choice Awards: $500 each. Learn more.

Call for Artists The Cotuit Center for the Arts has announced a juried call for their upcoming exhibition, Rock, Paper, Scissors. Submissions in all 2D and 3D mediums are welcome. No size restriction. Up to 3 artworks per artist may be submitted. Learn more.

Call for Art The University of Nebraska Lincoln is seeking existing 2D artworks for direct purchase to be displayed in the new Westbrook Music Building. The Westbrook Music Building, part of UNL’s Hixson-Lied College of Fine & Performing Arts, is a state-of-the-art facility for the Glenn Korff School of Music. Total Budget: $132,000. Learn more.

Tribal Cultural Council Program Led by tribally appointed volunteers who administer an annual grant program to support local cultural projects that provide benefit to the tribal communities. Howard Foundation Fellowships The George A. and Eliza Gardner Howard Foundation is an independent foundation administered at Brown University. The Howard Foundation awards a limited number of fellowships each year for independent projects in selected fields, targeting its support specifically to early mid-career individuals, who have completed at least one major project and demonstrate potential to be future leaders in their fields.       Thank you for your interest. We collect opportunities and publish a curated list on a weekly basis. As you click on older and older posts, you will indeed find some opportunities with deadlines that have passed. You’ll always find the most current opportunities in the most recent posting.
