Downtown Window Art: Call for Proposals Mosaic Lowell in collaboration with the City of Lowell invites artists and organizations to submit qualifications to be considered for a commission to paint a window in an unoccupied commercial space downtown in advance of Folk Festival weekend. They anticipate up to 25 windows to be available for images and will select local artists to fill the space available. Total commission is $500, including cost of materials. Exhibition Proposals Piano Craft Gallery is announcing its call for exhibition proposals for the 2024 calendar year. PCG is dedicated to highlighting the diversity of art-making of Boston’s residents and our mission guides us in exhibiting the work of artists from various cultures, races, and socioeconomic and educational backgrounds. Thanks to funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the Boston Cultural Council, the Piano Craft Gallery is pleased to announce that all exhibition rental fees for 2024 have been waived which allows us to further our mission of inclusivity in the arts in Boston. Solo or group show proposals will be juried by our board of directors and a strong emphasis will be placed on the quality of work paired with plans for community engagement. Accepted artists will host three week long exhibitions, and will be required to gallery sit during our open hours (Fridays 6-8PM, Saturdays 12-5PM, and Sundays 12-5PM). Learn more.

MASS MoCA Artist Residency Program The Studios is MASS MoCA’s artist and writers residency program situated within the museum’s factory campus and surrounded by the beautiful Berkshire Mountains. Operated by MASS MoCA’s Assets for Artists department, the residency runs year-round and hosts up to 10 artists at a time. Artists of any nationality can apply for stays of 2 or 4 weeks. Learn more.

Exhibition Proposals The Newton Free Public Library is accepting exhibition proposals. As one of the busiest public library buildings in Massachusetts, our two galleries are highly sought after, well-loved by library patrons and prominently located on the first floor. The Library welcomes applications from New England region artists showing works that are compatible with the Walker Display system. Filmmakers The AXS Film Fund is for creators of color in documentary filmmaking or nonfiction new media who identify as living with a disability. They seek to bring visibility to creators who are oftentimes overlooked. While they ask that a person of color living with a disability is a key contributor to the project, they welcome diverse teams to apply. Five creators will be awarded with grants of up to $10,000 each to assist them in finishing their projects in any stage. Learn more.
