Call for Art Local artists are invited to submit work inspired by the plants and landscape of the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain for the upcoming Artists in the Arboretum juried exhibition, organized in conjunction with Jamaica Plain Open Studios. Art submitted for consideration should be inspired by the Arnold Arboretum, and two-dimensional, such as paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media, and prints. Learn more.

Poets’ Residencies The Amy Clampitt Fund seeks to benefit poetry and the literary arts by converting Amy Clampitt’s prior residence into a facility which would provide for a place to foster the study and promotion of poetry and/or a poet in residence through 6-to-12 month residencies at the Amy Clampitt house near Lenox, Massachusetts. Applications are invited from poets or literary scholars of poetry with professional standing in their fields as well as emerging poets/scholars are eligible for residencies. Learn more.

Call to Artists Entries are now being accepted to the Mass Audubon’s Moose Hill Gallery’s juried exhibition Untamed. They are seeking art that explores the world of wildlife that reveals untamed animals, aspects or perceptions of an animal, real or fantastic. The juror is Mim Brooks Fawcett, Executive Director at the Attleboro Arts Museum. Any medium is acceptable. Artists are invited to submit up to five (8″x10″) photographic prints only of your work for judging purposes. All prints must be labeled on back with contact information, dimensions, title and medium. Entry fee is $15 and please provide a stamped return envelope for your artwork. Call to Artists The Soles of Haverhill are asking artists to submit applications to create design imagery on a three-dimensional, 4’H x 6′ L x 30 inch wide vintage shoe made of fiberglass. The selected artist’s efforts will be reimbursed with an honorarium of $750. Learn more.

Call to Greater Boston Artists The Arsenal Center for the Arts is seeking the work of artists from the Greater Boston area for their annual Small Works exhibition happening in November. Works must be 12″ x 12″ or smaller and can be 2D or 3D but must be priced under $300. Arsenal Center for the Arts will retain 40% on sale of works. All media is accepted 2D and 3D – a maximum of 4 pieces per artist will be chosen, but up to 10 pieces can be submitted for consideration. Please submit all works in JPEG format (images no larger then 300dpi- jpeg). Include name, address, phone number, and email address on corresponding numbered sheet with title, medium, size and price of each piece. Please also include resume and artist statement.
