Painters over 45 The Provincetown Art Association and Museum is currently accepting applications for their fourth annual Lillian Orlowsky and William Freed Foundation Grant, which provides financial backing for mature American painters aged 45 or older who demonstrate financial need. The primary emphasis is to promote public awareness and a commitment to American art, as well as encouraging interest in artists who lack adequate recognition. Grants range from $5,000 to $30,000. Of Note: In honor of Cape Ann Artisans 30th Anniversary the Cape Ann Museum will hold a retrospective exhibit of work by 70 past and present members. The exhibit will open on March 2, 2013, with a reception for the public from 3 – 5 pm and continue through May 26th. Demonstrations and talks by the artists will be held on March 30th, April 27th, and May 18th.
