Public Media Art for the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center Marquee
The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority and Boston Cyberarts are issuing the ninth call for 30-second videos, animations, or computer-generated works that use the entire Marquee at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in creative ways and are based on a theme of “video games as art.” The 80-foot-tall Marquee offers more than 3,000 square feet of display area on 7 screens, providing full-motion video capability and is viewed by more than 100,000 pedestrians and motorists daily. Artist Residency Playa, a Fellowship Residency program in south central Oregon, is now accepting applications for the 2014 Fall Residency session from mid August to mid December, 2014. Writers and Visual Artists Residencies The Edward F. Albee Foundation maintains the William Flanagan Memorial Creative Persons Center (better known as “The Barn”) in Montauk, on Long Island in New York, as a residence for writers and visual artists of all media. Residencies for 4 or 6 weeks, mid-May through mid-October, are offered for up to five persons at a time. Residents are expected to do their share in maintaining the condition of “The Barn” as well as its peaceful environment. Learn more.
