Call to Artist The Mosesian Center for the Arts seeks submissions for a large-scale temporary art installation on the Arsenal on the Charles campus, home to athenahealth, in Watertown MA. This exhibition requires images 5′ high by 12′ wide. Submissions are not required to be pre-formatted to meet these specifications and may be single or in series. No original artwork will be used. Poets The University of Arkansas Press is currently accepting entries for their Etel Adnan Poetry Prize which includes an award of $1,000 and publication by University of Arkansas Press. Call for Images Jamaica Plain Arts Council, JPNDC, and Samuel Adams are co-hosting PROJECTIONS II: Art on the Brewery Walls. On the evening of May 13th, 2017, artists’ images will be projected onto the outside walls of Jamaica Plain’s Brewery Complex. Submissions can include images 2D, 3D, and video. This nontraditional art show is open to all artists. You can work in any medium and you do not have to live in Jamaica Plain. Innovation and originality are valued. Submission is free and open to any artist. Each artist may submit up to three (3) images for inclusion in the Projections event. Mid-Career Artist Grants The Artist’s Resource Trust (A.R.T.) Fund offers grants in painting, sculpture, printmaking or mixed media to mid-career artists with financial need in New England and Columbia and northeast Dutchess counties, NY. Nonprofit organizations wishing to show, commission or purchase work by mature artists living in New England may also apply. Grants range from $2,000 to $10,000. Learn more.

Printmakers Entries are now being accepted for the 2017 North American Print Biennial. The juror is Judith Brodie, Curator of Modern Prints and Drawings at the National Gallery of Art. Photographs, offset reproductions, or reproductions of artwork originally produced in another medium will not be considered. Submitted work may not have been exhibited in any other Boston Printmakers exhibition. Artists may submit up to three digital images of original prints completed within the past two years. Open Call for Curatorial Project Proposals The Boston LGBTQIA Artist Alliance (BLAA) has announced an open call for curatorial project proposals. Guidelines: Exhibition that brings together LGBTQIA artists’ work around a theme and/or process(es). Exhibition must include at least 3 artists from the Greater Boston area and a minimum of 5 artists in the project. Curator(s) and out-of-state artist(s) will be responsible for facilitating in the coordination of logistics. Experimental work, multimedia work, and installation projects are encouraged but must be flexible as upcoming hosting spaces are not confirmed.
