Boston Women’s Film Festival The Boston Women’s Film Festival is the Boston area’s leading festival for international films created by women. For four days in September, hosted by The Brattle Theatre in Harvard Square, Cambridge and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Boston Women’s Film Festival will be bringing the latest in media created by women from around the globe. The festival will host panel discussions by leading figures in the media industry bringing together creators and audiences for a weekend of celebrating the diversity and power of women’s cinema. Artist Residency The Pond Farm Artist in Residence Program in Guerneville, California, is currently accepting applications. Artists of all types are invited to apply for this residency program by the Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods, located near California’s iconic Armstrong Woods State Natural Reserve. Each month-long residency provides time and space for self-paced work and reflection in an inspiring natural setting. There is a fee of $500; a fellowship is available to BIPOC artists and writers. Artist Residency The Wave Farm Artist Residency in Hudson, New York is currently accepting applications. Artists are invited to propose visual and sonic projects that fall within the Transmission Arts genre to this radio-focused residency. Each resident will receive a $1,000 artist fee and spend 10 days on a 29-acre property in the northern foothills of the Catskill Mountain Park. Free Public Artist Workshop The New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA) invites artists in Massachusetts to participate in Making it Public: for Massachusetts Artists, a free five-week virtual workshop series designed to support artists of all disciplines in exploring and expanding their public art making practice. At the conclusion of the workshop series, participating artists will be better equipped to respond to a Call for Temporary Public Art and foster more vibrant and equitable public spaces through artmaking. Call to Artists Revitalizing Waterbury (RW) together with the Stowe Street Alley Steering Committee (Committee) announces their search for an artist or artist team for the design, fabrication, and installation of a permanent Medallion Feature and Gateway Feature at the Stowe Street Alley in Waterbury, Vermont. The Gateway Feature is the keystone of the entire Stowe Street Alley Project while the Medallion feature is one of many additional keystones. Proposed artwork should create a welcoming environment that brings joy and tranquility to the site.
