Massachusetts Cultural Council: 40 Years of Massachusetts Artist Fellowships
Request for Qualifications: Past MCC Film & Video Fellows
Project: Video Title Screen
Issue Date: December 22, 2014
Submission Deadline: January 12, 2015
Overview of the Requirement
The first Artist Fellowships funded by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts were awarded in 1975, making 2015 the 40th anniversary of the fellowships. The Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) is celebrating this milestone by creating a series of short (3-5 minute) videos featuring interviews with select awardees from those 40 years.
The main objective of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to find a film/video artist to create an animated title screen (“40 Years of Massachusetts Artist Fellowships”) which would accompany each brief video. The MCC will only consider past MCC Fellows for the title screen project, which has a budget of up to $1000.
Request for Qualifications
All artists interested in being considered for this RFQ should respond by email to dan.blask@art.state.ma.us, by 5 PM on January 12, 2015.
Submission requirements for this RFQ are as follows:
1) A statement of interest, including a brief explanation of your related experience.
2) A list of up to four links to online samples of work. If no work is currently online, the Artist Department can use samples of past Fellows’ work from MCC’s files to determine compatibility with the project.
3) A current resume/bio, either included as attachment or linked to via URL
Review and Selection: MCC’s Artist Department will review RFQs and select an artist or artists for further discussion. The Artist Department reserves the right to consult outside expertise as needed in the selection process
