Public Art in Cambridge Cambridge Arts is looking for artists to create public art for two walking/biking paths near each other in northwest Cambridge, Massachusetts, Linear Park and the Danehy/New Street Path. Artists are invited to submit images of past work and biographical information (no proposals at this time). Budget is $90,000. Interested artists should submit samples/biographical info through the organization’s Public Art Registry.

Latinx Artists The Catalyst for Change (CFC) Fellowship offered by the National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures (NALAC) focuses on radical imagination as a key component of pursuing racial justice. The $25,000 award is open to Latinx artists in the U.S. or Puerto Rico who are current NALAC and is intended to catalyze community-based and artist produced visions for creative solutions to injustices. Indigenous, Black, Person of Color Film Fellowship Upstander Project is seeking a talented young filmmaker who identifies as Indigenous, Black and/or as a Person of Color for a full-time fellowship for a period of six months beginning no later than July 11th, 2022 (exact dates to be determined). The responsibilities of this person involve creating short videos about Upstander Project, including a video about our annual Upstander Academy. The fellow must be available to attend the Upstander Academy in Greater Boston in-person from July 31 – August 5, 2022 (travel expenses will be covered). We are looking for a passionate young filmmaker with enthusiasm for Upstander Project’s mission and their own creative film ideas. Call to Female Artists The Sargent House Museum in Gloucester, MA seeks works for the juried exhibition Figure in the Landscape. Artwork should readily address this theme through either its imagery or concept. Artwork may utilize either contemporary and or traditional style. All media will be considered, including 2D/3D video or sound installation as well as outdoor sculpture/installation and performance art. Submissions are limited to female artists (18+) within Massachusetts. The exhibition space is small so please limit 2D work to 40″ horizontally. Work must be framed, ready to hang, with the exception of gallery wrapped canvas. The Sargent House Museum continues its commitment of supporting women in the arts and does not charge entry fees for submission. Artists may submit up to three works. Please send submissions to exhibits@sargenthouse.org with title, size, medium and time-based information if applicable. Artists Notification: July 15th. Deadline to Receive Accepted Works: Between August 1st-6th. Show Date August 19th- Sept 30th.
