Grants for Cultural Documentation The Library of Congress and the American Folklife Center a announce the Community Collections grant program to support individuals or non-profit organizations in producing cultural documentation–photographs, interviews, audio, or video recordings about their community from the community’s perspective. Grants will be up to $50,000 ($60,000 if applicants intend to host a public program in their community) and will support projects of up to 12-months in length. Learn more.

Call for Outdoor Sculpture Montserrat College of Art is assisting Corigin Real Estate Group seek, accept and select a final proposal for an outdoor sculpture to welcome residents into a shared “Clubhouse” space at The Enclave at Mansfield, MA. The piece should be abstract or non-representational and should be constructed to last many years with minimal maintenance. Montserrat College of Art sculpture faculty will assist in evaluating proposals and choose the work of the winning artist who will have a maximum budget of $20,000 to $25,000 to create the work, including the artist’s fee. Ujima Arts & Cultural 2022-2024 Fellowship Proposals are currently being accepted for the Ujima Arts & Cultural 2022-2024 Fellowship. Awardee receives $20,000 over 2 years for creators of color in the Boston area. The Arts and Cultural Organizing Fellowship will be awarded to a member of Ujima’s Arts and Cultural Organizing Member Team who demonstrates a commitment to their artistic practice and a commitment to the principles of the Ujima Project. The Ujima Arts & Cultural Organizing Fellow will spend two years in an emergent, self-determined program tailored to the needs and interests of the fellow. Applicants should be organizers, musicians, choreographers, visual artists, filmmakers, poets, novelists, playwrights, designers, directors, and performance artists who would find it beneficial to spend two years working alongside Ujima’s vibrant membership body and community. Public Artists The Collective Imagination for Spatial Justice grants support teams of artists, creatives, culture bearers, cultural organizers, and/or community-based collaborators to do the important work of imagining public art that fosters and contributes to more just futures for our public spaces and public culture. The work of imagination is a journey. Project deliverables are not expected or required to begin this journey. Note this is not a project grant. If you are looking for funding for a specific project you may be interested in the Public Art for Spatial Justice Grant. Collective Imagination for Spatial Justice grants range from $2,000-5,000.
