Artist Projects Funding Applications are currently being accepted for the 2020 Creative Capital Award. Artists in all disciplines may apply in this round, and the application is free. Select artists will be invited to move forward to two more rounds. Artists who receive the 2020 Creative Capital Award will have access to up to $50,000 in funding to develop their project, plus advisory services valued at $50,000, for a total value of $100,000. Medal Design Competition Gloucester Celebrations, Inc., the official organizers of Gloucester, Massachusetts’ 400th-anniversary celebration is accepting entries for the city’s International Commemorative Medal Design Competition. This competition is open to artists and designers worldwide, ages 18 and older. Four prizes, ranging from $3,000 to $10,000 (USD), will be awarded. There is no fee to enter. One of Gloucester’s long-held historic traditions, commemorative medals have been a time-honored part of the city’s historic celebrations for over a century, including its 300th, 350th, and 375th anniversaries.
