JUNE FELLOWS NOTES is live, with THRILLING TALES of TRIUMPH from fellows and finalists, including…
… the arrival of The Foreigner, a new novel by Francie Lin (Fiction/Creative Nonfiction Fellow ’06). The book has already gotten some good ink (virtual or otherwise), including this nice mention in writer Jeff Vandermeer’s “Ecstatic Days” blog. An excerpt from The Foreigner, a literary mystery Publisher’s Weekly called “taut, smart and often funny,” helped Francie win a 2006 Artist Fellowship.
(If you live in the Boston-area, check out Francie’s author event at Newtonville Books on Thurs., June 26, 7 PM, where she joins novelist Scott Heim as part of Newtonville’s funky Books and Brews series.)
