Exhibition Proposals The Fort Point Arts Community Gallery is seeking proposals in all media (painting, sculpture, photography, multimedia, other) for five shows for the 2018-19 season (Fall 2018-Spring 2019). Each show must include at least two exhibiting artists. We invite proposals from exhibiting artists and from curators collaborating with exhibiting artists. The juror for the season is Sam Toabe, a curator and art historian based in Boston. At the University of Massachusetts Boston, he is Gallery Curator at the University Hall Gallery for the Art Department and Director of Arts on the Point. Learn more.

New Plays Inspired by Shakespeare American Shakespeare Center is now accepting play submissions for its Shakespeare’s New Contemporaries project. The current call is seeking plays inspired by or in conversation with Othello, Henry IV, Part II, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, or Cymbeline. Furniture Artists Fellowship Applications are now being accepted for the 2018 John D. Mineck Furniture Fellowship award of $25,000 given annually to support a talented young-in-career furniture artist in succeeding on their journey as a craftsperson. The fellowship has been designed to help support a talented furniture artist looking to fulfill an apprenticeship, develop skills, and/or make the transition to independence.
