Call to Artists Post Office Gallery in North Truro, MA invites visual artists to participate in Outside the Lines, part of their 8th Annual Open Call Juried Exhibits. Selections will be based on artistic and creative quality and space allotment. No entry fee. Retail price assumes a typical 50% gallery commission. All media will be considered. Fiction, Narrative Nonfiction Entries are currently being accepted for a prize of $5,000 and publication by the Feminist Press for a debut book of fiction or narrative nonfiction by a woman of color or a nonbinary writer of color. Call to Artists Art Dash: one night of original art at Beacon Gallery, 524B Harrison, Avenue, Boston. At a time when Boston area artists are struggling to stay in the city and maintain art careers amidst rising costs of living and workspace, Beacon Gallery is producing a one-night-only event to directly provide support to visual artists from sales of their work. Gallery Owner and Director, Christine O’Donnell, is hosting a juried exhibition of small works called Art Dash where all the works on view will be priced at $100 and each artist will receive 100% of their sales proceeds. This is a true pop-up event on Saturday, December 14th from 6-9pm with a preview during the day from 12-6pm; sales will begin promptly at 6pm. Gallery visitors will take work right off the walls and take it home on the spot. The jurors are Jessica Burko, Artist, Independent Curator, Arts Marketer; Dina Deitsch, Director and Chief Curator, Tufts University Art Galleries; Christine O’Donnell, Owner and Director, Beacon Gallery.
