Assets for Artists is an organization that supports artists in achieving financial security and business growth. It was founded on the belief that artists are key to vibrant communities and healthy economies. Mass Cultural Council is a proud funder of MASS MoCA, where Assets for Artists is based.
Assets for Artists has two upcoming deadlines for opportunities for Massachusetts artists. They are currently accepting applications for their 2019 Professional Development Workshops and for their 2020 Capacity-Building Grants.
2019 Professional Development Workshops
Assets for Artists’ Fall line-up of workshops to advance artists’ careers include sessions in Massachusetts and Connecticut, on topics like taxes, scheduling gigs, licensing, branding, and public art. The workshops are free, but you need to apply, and spots are first-come, first-served. Learn more.

2020 Capacity-Building Grants
The capacity-building grant program is an innovative support model that helps artists strengthen their creative practice and grow its long-term sustainability. Artists based in Boston and artists based in Massachusetts (but outside Boston) are eligible to apply for awards that include a capacity-building grants, artist-tailored workshops, one-on-one coaching, and other support.
