150th Celebration Mural Art The Norwood 150th Committee invites qualified artists with experience designing for outdoor murals to submit a proposal to create engaging murals that will celebrate the motto of Norwood on its 150th birthday – “Rich history … Bright future.” The pieces should inspire community pride and offer a joyful celebration of Norwood’s people and community culture. Artists may submit for all three mural locations connecting the pieces with a unifying concept OR Artists may submit to do single locations. Learn more.

Poetry Manuscript Submission CavanKerry Press is accepting manuscripts in an Open Submission Period in the month of August. The press is particularly interested in receiving more work from queer, trans, and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) voices; and work from people living with physical and/or mental illness and disability. Call to Poets The New England Poetry Club is pleased to announce three new grants. Two grants for individual poets for poetic achievement; one grant for a project that forwards the mission of the NEPC to promote the appreciation of poetry, and which has a particular focus on BIPOC community involvement. Please note, these grants are specifically for Black poets and Poets of Color. Photographers, Artists Grants The Innovate Grant awards (2) $550.00 grants each quarter, to one Visual Artist and one Photographer. In addition, (4) honorable mentions (2 in art and 2 in photo), will be featured and recognized on our website and join a growing community of vibrant and talented artists. Innovate Grant’s commitment extends beyond the grant cycle by promoting the work of selected winners and honorable mentions into the future.
