Student Photo Slam Sign-up for the Photographic Resource Center’s Student Photo Slam on December 8, 2019. All photo students from Emerson, Emmanuel, Endicott, Fitchburg State University, Lesley University, MassArt, NESOP, Northeastern and SMFA are invited to participate. Beginning at 2pm each student will have 10-minutes to present and the Slam will be followed by refreshments in the gallery. 2020 North Louisiana Artist-in-Residence This year’s art residency will allow two artists from across the United States to develop their craft in North Louisiana through engaging with the residency’s theme of Sustaining Local Food Systems. The 2020 North Louisiana AiR will take place over four weeks from March 1st to March 28th. This opportunity will provide two artists the chance to understand the successes and challenges experienced in North Louisiana’s local food system. RLCF will connect their residents with farmers, chefs, organizers, local artists, and community members to help them engage with all aspects of a local food system. The 2020 North Louisiana AiR does not have a specified medium, it is open to any artist wishing to apply. Housing, internet, and some meals will be covered along with a stipend for living expenses. Residency Fellowships The Studios is MASS MoCA’s artist residency program situated within the museum’s factory campus and surrounded by the beautiful Berkshire Mountains. Operated by MASS MoCA’s program Assets for Artists, the residency runs year-round and hosts up to 12 artists at a time. Artists can apply for stays of 1-8 weeks, though most offered stays are 2-5 weeks. Assets for Artists is now offering several fully funded fellowship opportunities, including a 4-week residency for a Massachusetts-based writer and several university fellowships including ones for MFA students at BU and MassArt.
