Of Note: The Network for Arts Administrators of Color invites new members who self-identify as Massachusetts arts administrators of color to join the organization. The Network was established by ArtsBoston in 2016 with the intent to empower, elevate, and retain talented professionals of color in the sector. The organization features events, networking, workshops, support, and opportunities to connect online and in-person. Call to Artists The Boston Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture and the Boston Art Commission invite artists to submit conceptual proposals for transformative public artwork, with particular interest in murals and temporary projects with social practice, participatory artmaking, or educational programming that celebrate the diversity of the city. Artist Grants Artist’s Resource Trust (A.R.T.) Fund Grants available in painting, sculpture, printmaking or mixed media to mid-career artists with financial need in New England and Columbia and northeast Dutchess counties, N.Y. Call to Artists The Cambridge Art Association is seeking photographs for their upcoming Open Photo Exhibit held at the University Place Gallery from October 3 – 31, 2019. This exhibition will be juried by Karen Haas, the Lane Curator of Photographs at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston since 2001. Haas is responsible for a large collection of photographs by American modernists such as Charles Sheeler, Edward Weston, Ansel Adams, and Imogen Cunningham and has completed various publications and exhibitions on this topic. Call for Artists The Kingston Gallery has announced a call for Associate Members. These members enable the gallery to meaningfully engage with a number of artists and to exhibit a wide range of high-quality contemporary art. The Associates are a group of 10-12 who regularly meet at the gallery throughout the year and participate in many Kingston gallery activities, including organizing, installing, and staffing the well-received Associates’ annual exhibition each year. One Act Plays The Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival seeks submissions for unpublished, previously unproduced One-Act plays as part of their annual contest. Grand Prize winner will receive $1500, a professional staged reading at the next festival, a VIP all-access pass to the festival, and receive publication of the winning play in Bayou Magazine.
