Emily Beattie (Choreography Fellow ’18) and Callie Chapman (Choreography Fellow ’20) are among the artists collaborating on the experimental dance theater performance ¡Bordes! Borders! ¡Bordes! at The Dance Complex @ Canal in Kendall Square’s Canal District (6/17-6/18, 8 PM ET).
Laura Christensen (Photography Finalist ’21) and Keith Maddy (Drawing & Printmaking Finalist ’16) both have work in the group exhibition Complex Muses at the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury (thru 9/4).
Rosalyn Driscoll (Sculpture/Installation/New Genres Fellow ‘ 13) and Paul Matteson (Choreography Fellow ‘ 14) collaborate on the multi-media performance how many times at the Workroom, 33 Hawley Street in Northampton (6/13-6/19, 7 PM ET).
Several events this month highlight Mass Cultural Council’s Traditional Arts Apprenticeships: Sarah Guerin and Diane Wagner (Traditional Arts Apprenticeship ’22) discussed their apprenticeship in bespoke bootmaking as part of Lynn Museum/LynnArts’ Museum Enrichment Series for All (6/8). Kieran Jordan and Rebecca McGowan (Traditional Arts Apprenticeship ’22) present a Set Dance Workshop and Presentation at Deborah Mason Performing Arts Center in Somerville (6/13, 7:30 PM ET). Vasilis Kostas and Lysander Jaffe (Traditional Arts Apprenticeship ’22) play the music of Epirus at the Harvard Musical Association in Boston (6/22, 7 PM ET).
Masako Kamiya (Painting Fellow ’10, ’06), Wilhelm Neusser (Painting Finalist ’22, ’20), and Michael Zachary (Drawing & Printmaking Finalist ’18) are exhibiting in the group show Field Visions at the Boston University Faye G., Jo, and James Stone Gallery (6/14-9/14, reception 6/18, 6 PM ET).
Anna Myer (Choreography Finalist ’22, ’10) and Jay Paris (Film & Video Finalist ’21) are collaborators in Beheard.world, which is screening its documentary Invisible: Imprints of Racism at WBUR City Space in Boston (6/16, 6:30 PM, w/q&a).

Cheryl Clark Vermeulen (Poetry Finalist ’10) joins Joan Naviyuk Kane, Jhani Randhawa, and Melissa Studdard for a reading at Grolier Poetry Bookshop (6/2, 7 PM ET), both in-person and online.
David Antonio Cruz (Painting Fellow ’22) joins Doron Langerg to present in The Artist’s Voice series at the Institute for Contemporary Arts Boston (6/9, 7 PM ET).
Jane Dykema (Fiction/Creative Nonfiction Fellow ’16) published an essay about processing personal grief by watching Korean dramas, in Electric Literature.
Deborah Lake Fortson (Dramatic Writing Fellow ’05) led a collaborative process with Fort Point Theatre Channel to create IDA 2022, an outdoor performance based on Ida Wells’ 1910 essay “How Enfranchisement Stops Lynching” in Jill Brown Rhone Park in Cambridge (6/11-6/12).
Beth Galston (Sculpture/Installation/New Genres Fellow ’13, ’84) exhibits the installation Unraveling Oculus at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center (6/18-10/10, opening reception 6/18 5 PM ET).
Sean Greene (Painting Fellow ’14) is exhibiting work in Little Saint, a gallery connected to Saint Seneca Store in Queens, NY.
Jonathan Bailey Holland (Music Composition Fellow ’19) has been named the Jack G. Buncher Chair and new head of the Carnegie Melon University School of Music.
Brece Honeycutt (Drawing & Printmaking Finalist ’18) has work in the exhibition Shaker Inspired at Joyce Goldstein Gallery in Chatham, NY (thru 6/18). She gives a “Seasonal Landscape Walk” at Art Omi in Omi, NY (6/4, 11 AM) and presents a virtual talk at the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) related to research the artist conducted as an AAS Artist Fellow (6/15, 4 PM ET).
Judith Inglese (Crafts Fellow ’21) created a ceramic installation, entitled Past is Present is Future, at the Leverett Library.
Terry Jenoure (Music Composition Finalist ’21) performs with her band the Portal at the Northampton Center for the Arts (6/11, 3 PM ET). She curated the group exhibition Syncopate: Homage to Jazz at Gallery A3 in Amherst (6/2-7/2, reception 6/2, 5-8 PM ET).
Jared Katsiane‘s (Film & Video Fellow ’15) short film If There Is No Struggle will screen (with q&a) on the opening night of the Roxbury Film Festival at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston (6/23, 6 PM ET), along with the feature Remember Me: The Mahalia Jackson Story. His interactive video exhibition Southie Then and Now – a Neighborhood Transformed will travel to five Boston Public Library branches starting this month.
Zehra Khan (Drawing & Printmaking Finalist ’12) has a solo exhibition, Your Everyday Myths, at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum (6/24-8/28, opening reception 7/22, 6-8 PM ET, lecture 8/4, 6 PM ET).
Balla Kouyate (Traditional Arts Fellow ’10) is a featured soloist in the Boston Pops event Duke Ellington Reimagined (6/9-6/10, 8 PM ET).
Joy Ladin (Poetry Finalist ’22, Fiction/Creative Nonfiction Finalist ’12) recently published the poetry collection Shekhinah Speaks, and she has had poems published in Liber, Tablet, and two anthologies, Queer Nature and The Long Devotion: Poets Writing Motherhood.
Scott Listfield (Painting Finalist ’10) has a solo exhibition, The Multiverse, at Thinkspace Projects in Los Angeles (6/4-6/25, opening reception 6/4, 6-10 PM).
Mary Lum (Drawing & Printmaking Fellow ’20) is one of the panelists speaking in Creating in a Pandemic, a discussion that’s part of the Time of Now Festival of Thought and Performance at MASS MoCA in North Adams (6/25).
Keith Maddy (Drawing & Printmaking Finalist ’16) has a solo exhibition, Inner Flight, at Howard Yezerski Gallery (6/24-7/30, opening reception 6/24, 5-8 PM). As mentioned above, he’s also in the group exhibition Complex Muses at the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury (thru 9/4).
Rebecca McGowan and Jackie O’Riley (Choreography Fellows ’22) will present and perform at the Center for the Arts at the Armory as part of their work in Somerville Arts Council’s Artists in Residence Program (6/8, 7 PM ET). They’ll also perform with their quartet Eight Feet Tall at First Church Cambridge (6/22, 7:30 PM ET).
Todd McKie (Painting Fellow ’89, ’75) has a solo exhibition, Last but Not Least, featuring work created before his passing in January ’22, at Gallery NAGA in Boston (6/10-7/15, opening reception 6/10, 5-7 PM ET).
Joshua Meyer (Painting Fellow ’10, Finalist ’22) published an essay about Philip Guston and his effect on Meyer’s paintings, in JewishBoston.com. His work exhibits in Remember. Renew. Reimagine at Hebrew College in Newton (thru 6/14) and in The Figure at Site:Brooklyn Gallery (thru 6/28).
Andrew Mowbray (Drawing & Printmaking Fellow ’12) has work in Use It at Drive-By Projects in Watertown (6/4-8/13, opening reception 6/4, 3-5 PM ET).
Aaron Myers (Choreography Finalist ’22) is featured in WBUR for A Trike Called Funk, his creative, mobile pop-up project with Edward Galan.
Wilhelm Neusser (Painting Finalist ’22, ’20) is exhibiting in the group shows I’ll See You Again, Soon at Abigail Ogilvy Gallery (6/1-7/17, opening reception 6/3, 5-8 PM ET), Field Visions at the Boston University Faye G., Jo, and James Stone Gallery (6/14-9/14, opening reception 6/18, 6 PM ET), and in the art KARLSRUHE fair in Baden-Württemberg, Germany (7/7-7/10).
Soumya Rajaram (Traditional Arts Finalist ’22, ’20, ’18, ’16) is among the solo dancers performing in Samagata: A Coming Together at the Andover Town House (6/11, 7:30 PM ET).
Allison Maria Rodriguez (Film & Video Finalist ’21) has a video installation featured in the New England Triennial at the deCordova Sculpture Park & Museum (thru 9/11). The Triennial features 25 artists and also exhibits at the Fruitlands Museum. On 6/12, 10 AM-3:30 PM, she conducts a guided tour as part of the Boston Center for the Arts’ A Trip to the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum.
Laura Sanchez (Choreography Finalist ’22) performs the multimodal production After Dark as part of the Boston Dancemakers Residency Showcase at the Boston Center for the Arts (6/23-6/25, 8 PM ET).
Carolyn Shadid Lewis‘s (Film & Video Fellow ’11) film InterGeneration has its film festival premiere at the Hibernian Hall as part of the Roxbury Film Festival (6/25, 4:30 PM ET).
Karl Stevens (Drawing & Printmaking Finalist ’16) recently had a comic in The New Yorker.
Ann Strassman (Painting Finalist ’16) has a solo exhibition, Conversations, at Georges Berges Gallery in New York City.
Joe Wardwell (Painting Fellow ’12) is among the artists exhibiting in Revival: Materials and Monumental Forms at the ICA Watershed (thru 9/5). Read about the exhibit in WBUR.
Elizabeth Whyte Schulze (Crafts Fellow ’09) is featured in Textile Treasures at Mobilia Gallery in Cambridge (thru 6/18).
Yu-Wen Wu (Sculpture/Installation/New Genres Fellow ’21, Painting Fellow ’04) has been commissioned to make new art work for the Joyce Cummings Center at Tufts University. She was recently featured in Artnet for her work Walking to Taipei (2021).
