Sari Boren (Fiction/Creative Nonfiction Finalist ’14) and Hortense Gerardo (Dramatic Writing Fellow ’21) are among the writers for Seven Rooms: The Masque of the Red Death, a virtual theatre experience produced by Flat Earth Theatre and inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s story “The Masque of the Red Death.”
Steven Cramer (Poetry Fellow ’14), Andrea Hairston (Dramatic Writing Fellow ’03), Sara Hendren (Fiction/Creative Nonfiction Fellow ’18), Kirun Kapur (Poetry Finalist ’18), and Ethan Murrow (Drawing & Printmaking Fellow ’16) are among the honorees of the Must Reads (long-list) from the 2021 Massachusetts Book Awards.
Kristen Emack (Photography Fellow ’19) and Michael Joseph (Photography Fellow ’15) are among the photographers in Exposure 2021: The 25th annual PRC Juried Exhibition at the Worcester State University Mary Cosgrove Dolphin Gallery (7/9-8/20, opening reception 7/13, 7 PM ET).

Elizabeth Alexander (Sculpture/Installation/New Genres Fellow ’11) has work in the group show In Person opening at Hodges Taylor Gallery in Charlotte, NC in July. She will also exhibit in two online exhibitions: Call & Response: Craft as a Tool for Activism at the Museum of Craft & Design in San Francisco (opening 7/30) and Paperworks 2021 at b.j. spoke gallery in Huntington, NY (8/1-8/31). She recently spoke about her art on The Open Call podcast.
Roya Amigh (Drawing & Printmaking Fellow ’20) has a solo exhibition, Absolutism and Sexuality, at Boston Sculptors Gallery (7/14-8/15).
Steven Bogart‘s (Dramatic Writing Fellow ’15) screenplay A Long Way Home recently won best feature screenplay with the LA Independent Film Festival and was a top ten finalist with StoryPros.
Linda Bond‘s (Sculpture/Installation/New Genres Fellow ’13) Justice Series, 2021 is exhibiting at Schoolhouse Gallery in Provincetown (7/2-7/21, reception 7/2, 6 PM ET).
Mark Cooper (Sculpture/Installation/New Genres Fellow ’17, Crafts Fellow ’11) was recently interviewed in Sculpture Magazine.
Carrie Gustafson (Crafts Fellow ’11) is among the artists exhibiting in In Her Voice: Influential Women in Glass at The Sandwich Glass Museum (7/1-10/31).
Mariko Kusumoto‘s (Crafts Fellow ’11) otherworldly textile work was featured this month on the online arts journal Colossal.
Thato Mwosa‘s (Dramatic Writing Finalist ’19) film Memoirs of a Black Girl is screening at the Woods Hole Film Festival (7/31-8/7).
Daniel Ranalli‘s (Drawing & Printmaking Fellow ’10) Fire and Ice series is exhibiting at Schoolhouse Gallery in Provincetown (7/2-7/21, reception 7/2, 6 PM ET).
Monica Raymond‘s (Dramatic Writing Fellow 13) play 13 Short Plays for Elijah McClain, is published in the current issue of Some Scripts. The piece was inspired by a call by Erik Ehn to write plays of 25 words each in honor on what would have been McClain’s 25th birthday, on February 25th, 2021.
Jussi Reijonen (Music Composition Finalist ’21) has announced a new album: Three Seconds|Kolme Toista. The album features performances by Naseem Alatrash (Music Composition Fellow ’21) and Jason Palmer (Music Composition Fellow ’19, ’11).
James Rutenbeck‘s (Film & Video Finalist ’19, ’11) documentary A Reckoning in Boston is an official selection of two regional summer festivals: Roxbury International Film Festival (June) and Woods Hole Film Festival (7/31-8/7).
Eric Henry Sanders (Dramatic Writing Fellow ’09) is the writer of Moving Water, a devised, multi-media physical theater piece exploring climate and humanity’s relationship to water, by Serious Play Theatre Ensemble in partnership with KO Theatre Festival, at APE @ Hawley in Northampton (live: 7/22-7/25; online: 7/30-8/1).
