Fellows Notes is a monthly listing of the latest news from awardees in our Artist Fellowships Program.
Meg Alexander, Karl Baden, Caleb Cole, Christine Collins, Yorgos Efthymiadis, Frank Egloff, Matthew Gamber, Andrew Mowbray, Greer Muldowney, Daniel Ranalli, and Cristi Rinklin are all exhibiting in TREES II at Gallery Kayafas (thru 7/21, reception 7/6, 5:30-8 PM).
Meg Alexander, Alice Denison, and Ilana Manolson are exhibiting in Power of the Flower at Concord Center for the Visual Arts (thru 8/12).
Edie Bresler, Molly Lamb, and Robin Radin are among the artists selected for the Griffin Museum of Photography’s 24th Annual Juried Members’ Exhibition (7/19-9/2, reception 7/19, 7-8:30 PM). Along with the exhibition, Edie Bresler won the Director’s Prize (which includes a catalog and a solo exhibition), and Molly Lamb won the $500 Griffin Prize.

The Deborah Abel Dance Company will perform excerpts of the choreographic work The Wild Divine in Kennard Park in Newton, 7/14, 2 PM. Watch a trailer.
Kati Agocs composed the string quartet Imprimatur, which will be premiered by the Jupiter String Quartet 7/28, Harris Concert Hall, Aspen Music Festival and School. Read about the premiere in the Aspen Times.
Nina Bellucci was recently interviewed by Boston Voyager Magazine. Also, her large-scale, mixed-media drawings will exhibit in an group show with the Musa Collective at Basement Projects in Santa Ana, CA (7/7-7/28).
Alice Denison, along with taking part in the group show Power of the Flower at Concord Center for the Visual Arts (see above), recently exhibited at Alden Gallery in Provincetown.
Rebecca Doughty has a solo exhibition, How I Roll, at Schoolhouse Gallery in Provincetown (7/20-8/8). The artist was recently featured in Boston Voyager Magazine.
Rosalyn Driscoll created a new installation, The One That Got Away, commissioned for Natural Forces: Three Sculptors Respond at Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site, Cornish NH (thru 10/21).
Patrick Gabridge wrote the short play Cato & Dolly for The Bostonian Society and Plays in Place, and it’s being performed at the Old State House (thru 9/29). His play Both/And is being produced by Catalyst Collaborative@MIT at the MIT Museum (thru 8/5).
Alexis Ivy will have a poetry reading, organized by State Senator Will Brownsberger in celebration of her 2018 state fellowship, at the Massachusetts State House, Room 222, 7/24, 4 PM.
Five works from Marky Kauffmann‘s Prayer Pieces were selected to be displayed on The Fence in Boston as part of the New England Regional Fence Exhibit.
Niho Kozuru will have a solo exhibition, Infinite Vibration, of three-dimensional sculptures into two-dimensional compositions. The exhibition is on view at the Society of Arts + Crafts (thru 9/29).
Jesse Kreitzer was recently selected for two prestigious fellowships: the 2018 National Arts Strategies Creative Community Fellowship and the LEF/Flaherty Film Seminar Fellowship. His film Black Canaries is one of the films currently screening in the 2018 PBS Online Film Festival.
Julie Levesque is exhibiting work at Rice Polak Gallery in Provincetown (thru 7/25).
Stefanie Lubkowski participated in the Bait/Switch Project this Spring. The piece that she wrote during that project, Serrated Spoon, was recently performed at the New School of Music as part of the Bait/Switch Project’s “Grapefruit, Bad Vibes, and the Body Electric” event.
Tara Lynn Masih‘s forthcoming novel, My Real Name is Hanna, was selected to receive a 2018 Skipping Stones Book Award.
Rania Matar has a solo exhibition of photography, A Girl and Her Room, at Newport Art Museum (thru 8/5). She’s also exhibiting in the group exhibitions Summer ’18 at C. Grimaldis Gallery (thru 8/18) and Bridging Divisions: Empathy and Humanity at The Light Factory in Charlotte, NC (thru 8/3).
Caitlin McCarthy is a contributor to Idol Talk: Women Writers on the Teenage Infatuations That Changed Their Lives, an anthology that includes Elizabeth Searle (editor), Jill McCorkle, Marianne Leone, Ann Hood, and many others. She joins a group of contributors for a reading event at Newtonville Books (7/27, 7 PM).
Rachel Mello is among the artists exhibiting in Ten Kingston Associates: Entangle at Kingston Gallery (thru 8/12).
Joshua Meyer has a feature exhibit, Many Distances, at Rice Polak Gallery in Provincetown (thru 7/25). He will also be included in the summer group show at Lyons Wier Gallery in New York City. The artist was recently interviewed for the WOMR radio show “From the Artist’s Perspective.”
Monica Raymond‘s poem Origami Blue is included in the spring issue of Redheaded Stepchild (under the name “Nikki Raymond”).
Judy Riola has work in the show JuxtaPositions at The Painting Center in New York City (thru 7/14).
Jo Ann Rothschild is exhibiting in Chain Reaction at The Painting Center in New York City (7/19-8/9, opening reception 7/19, 6-8 PM).
Nick Rodrigues has work in ReVerb at Tiger Strikes Asteroid in Los Angeles (thru 7/22).
