Congratulations to Kristen Joy Emack (Photography Fellow ’19), Jonathan Bailey Holland (Music Composition Fellow ’19) and Kathryn Ramey (Film & Video Fellow ’15), named 2022 Guggenheim Fellows.

Sarah Slavick (Painting Fellow ’06) and Deb Weisberg (Drawing & Printmaking Fellow ’08) are among the artists in In Praise of Form, a group exhibition by the Pell Lucy Collective, at the Piano Craft Factory (thru 4/24).

Kati Agócs (Music Composition Fellow ’15) was nominated for a JUNO Award for Classical Composition of the Year. Recently, her work was performed by Symphony Nova Scotia and Emmanuel Music.
Meg Alexander (Drawing & Printmaking Finalist ’18) exhibits in Dance of Opposites at Drive-By Projects in Watertown (4/9-5/28).
Mary Bucci McCoy (Painting Fellow ’12) exhibits in Mere Reflection at Marquee Projects on Long Island (thru 4/17).
Kelley Donnovan (Choreography Fellow ’12) is performing at the goodTHANGpassing day-long event at the Arts at the Armory in Somerville (4/15).
Madge Evers (Photography Finalist ’21) was selected to be one of Mount Auburn Cemetery’s Artists in Residence for 2022. She has an artist residency at Foundation House in Greenwich, CT in April/May. She has work in the exhibitions Material Matters at ArtsWorcester and Realism Reboot at the Krikorian Gallery in Worcester.
Andrew Fish (Painting Finalist ’20) has a solo exhibition, Big Paintings, at Nearby Gallery in Newton Centre (thru 5/4).
Ralf Yusuf Gawlick‘s (Music Composition Fellow ’15, ’09) electro-acoustic work Herzliche Grüße Bruno ~ Briefe aus Stalingrad (Best regards Bruno ~ Letters from Stalingrad) had its German/European premiere (4/5) in the Musiksaal of the Nürnberg Symphoniker, sponsored by the Documentation Center Nazi Party Rally Grounds located in the historic Kongresshalle, Nürnberg. Also this month, the Hugo Wolf Quartet performed the composer’s string quartet Imagined Memories (Bîranînên Xeyalî) in Heidelberg (4/7).
Rebecca Kaiser Gibson (Poetry Fellow ’08) has in person and virtual readings for her new poetry book, Girl as Birch.
Magdalena Gomez (Dramatic Writing Fellow ’01) is publishing a “memoir noir,” Mi’ja. She wrote the book, to be published by Heliotrope Books, partially through support as a Fellow of the Academy of American Poets. She is also the Poet Laureate of Springfield.
Basia Goszczynska (Film & Video Fellow ’13) has a solo exhibition, Something Has to Break, at ChaShaMa in New York City (4/21-5/18).
Janet Loren Hill (Sculpture/Installation/New Genres Finalist ’19) has a solo exhibition, Shifting Looks for Suspended Moments, at Westfield State University (thru 4/23, virtual gallery talk 4/6, 10 AM ET), and she’s in the group show Source at MassArt x SoWa (thru 4/17). She is currently an artist-in-residence at Anderson Ranch in Colorado.
David Hilliard (Photography Fellow ’17) talks about his work in the Photographic Resource Center Speaker Series, online and in-person at the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline (4/5, 7 PM ET).
Vanessa Irzyk (Drawing & Printmaking Fellow ’14) is among the artists exhibiting in Cosmic Geometries at Clark Gallery in Lincoln (thru 5/2).
Marky Kauffmann (Photography Fellow ’17) has a solo exhibition, Landscapes and Prayers, at Soho Photo Gallery in New York. As mentioned above, she is one of the artists exhibiting in 5 Years of Aspect Initiative at Danforth Art (thru 6/5), Color Theory at the Griffin Museum of Photography (thru 6/13) and 8th Open Call at Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts (thru 5/13).
Colleen Kiely (Painting Fellow ’98) has a solo exhibition and a two-person exhibition at Cove Street Arts in Portland, Maine (thru 5/7).
Yary Livan (Traditional Arts Fellow ’12) is featured in the documentary Khmer Traditional Ceramic Artist, which is screening at the Middlesex Community College Academic Arts Center (4/28, 3 PM ET reception, 3:30 PM screening followed by Q&A).
Ilana Manolson (Painting Fellow ’18, ’08) has a solo exhibition, Things Far Held Near, at Qualia Gallery in Palo Alto CA (thru 5/6).
Adam Mazo and Ben Pender-Cudlip (Film & Video Fellows ’21) will have the in-person premiere screening of their film Bounty, co-created with Dawn Neptune Adams, Maulian Dana, and Tracy Rector, at Old South Meeting House (4/12, 7 PM ET).
Caitlin McCarthy (Dramatic Writing Fellow ’21) was interviewed by The Museum of the Moving Image’s Sloan Science & Film section, about her film in pre-production, Wonder Drug.
Charlotte Meehan‘s (Dramatic Writing Fellow ’21) play Everyday Life and Other Odds and Ends had its world premiere in-person at ArtsEmerson in March and is streaming video on demand 4/1-4/11. Watch a review by Jared Bowen of WGBH.
Ivelisse Pabón de Landrón (Traditional Arts Finalist ’22) was featured in the San Juan Daily Star.
Daniel Ranalli (Drawing & Printmaking Fellow 10) has a solo exhibition, Lightlines, at LaMontagne Gallery in Boston (thru 5/7).
Jess Rizkallah (Poetry Fellow ’22) leads a virtual discussion with Randa Jarrar and Hala Alyan, in celebration of Arab American Heritage Month, hosted by Cambridge Public Library (4/13, 6 PM ET).
Allison Maria Rodriguez (Film & Video Finalist ’21) is among the artists featured in the New England Triennial at the deCordova Sculpture Park & Museum (thru 9/11, artists also exhibiting at Fruitlands Museum).
Rae Shaw‘s (Dramatic Writing Fellow ’21) web series Black Kung Fu Chick is an Official Selection at the Stareable Fest LA (4/21-4/23).
Julia Shepley (Sculpture/Installation/New Genres Fellow ’95) has a solo exhibition, Carry, at Boston Sculptors Gallery (thru 5/1).
Peter Snoad‘s (Dramatic Writing Fellow ’09) play My Name Is Art is performed in the Brisk Festival in Los Angeles (4/16-4/17) and his play Too Many White People is in the Transitions/Transformations new works festival at the Anacostia Playhouse in Washington, D.C. (4/23-4/24). Recently, the play had a reading at Tiger’s Heart Players in Bronx, NY, and his full-length dramedy Going Wild had a virtual staged reading by Break-a-Leg Productions in New York City.
