Call for Trauma Survival Poetry Call for trauma survival poetry as a part of the Aplomb Project Exhibition and Book Release. Contemporary portrait artist Danielle Festa paints to capture the strength of trauma survivors. For her 2023 Portrait Project exhibition and book release, poetry on the same theme will be included. Four poems will be selected to be on display with the paintings at the Portrait Project exhibition opening June 24, 2023 at Aplomb Gallery in Dover, NH, and published in an accompanying book through The Aplomb Project. Call for Public Art Southcoast MA artists are invited to apply to the Massachusetts Design, Art, and Technology Institute’s (DATMA) new regional Call for Public Art. To celebrate DATMA’s 2023 theme of “Shelter,” they are highlighting the important role of artists in shaping and creating their local community, the ultimate shelter for a city. Up to 10 SouthCoast MA (from Fall River to Wareham, as far north as Brockton) artists will be selected and provided a $500 stipend for the loan of artwork files. Learn more.

Call to Artists Artisans Asylum invites artists to join them for Boston Design Week at their Spring Fling Makers Market! On April 29th, they are hosting their first Spring Time Maker’s Market. Outdoor Sculptures The annual North Bennington Outdoor Sculpture Show highlights the work of local and regional artists in the center of the Village of North Bennington and at the Bennington Museum. Call to Writers, Musicians The Program on Georgian Studies at Harvard University and the Somerville Arts Council invite artists from the Greater Boston Area and the country of Georgia to participate in a collaborative cross-cultural project that will take place in the summer of 2023. Specifically we seek writers and musicians from Georgia and the Greater Boston Area to submit proposals for collaborative projects on the theme of “Artistic exchange and collaboration across cultures.” The goal of this project is to bring American culture to Georgia and Georgian culture to America, encouraging understanding and mutual appreciation between the two countries, while creating exciting new works and projects in the process.
