Mass Cultural Council is now accepting applications to the COVID-19 Relief Fund for Individuals. The Fund provides $1,500 grants to people who have lost income derived from their work as individual artists and independent teaching artists/humanists/scientists as a direct result of COVID-19 related cancellations and closures in Massachusetts.
We recognize that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on the health and financial well-being of the Commonwealth’s creative community. In Spring 2020, with the support of the New England Foundation for the Arts and the GKV Foundation, Mass Cultural Council was proud to award over $300,000 in emergency funds to artists/humanists/scientists.
For this new round of funding from this program, we are pleased to increase the grant amount from $1,000 to $1,500. We also plan to award more grants – at least 460.
There will be a virtual info session about the opportunity on January 21, 2021, 4 PM. The deadline to apply is February 2, 2021. Read program guidelines and apply now.
