The COVID-19 crisis has been devastating for artists throughout the Commonwealth. Visual artists in the Greater Boston area can apply to a new fund created to directly support their recovery.
The Collective Futures Fund is a new initiative, administered by the Tufts University Art Galleries, to support artists and artist-run activity in the Greater Boston area.
The Fund’s first project is an emergency support grant for Greater Boston area visual artists. The Fund will award $1,500 grants (selected by a lottery system) by December 2020, totaling $60,000 for artists in the area. This grant is intended to help visual artists whose income has been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic and who need assistance with basic expenses such as food, housing, medical costs, and childcare.
The project is administered by Tufts University Art Galleries and underwritten by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts Regional Regranting Program.
The deadline to apply is November 27, 2020, 11:59 PM EST.
