Feature Documentary Fund The International Documentary Association (IDA) is funding feature documentaries that reflect the spirit and nature of Pare Lorentz’s work. This year, the Fund is providing production and post-production grants up to $25,000 to social-issue films exploring symptoms of systematic racism. The applicant does not need to be a US resident, but the project must focus on Challenging White Supremacy in the U.S. Learn more.

Jazz Musicians South Arts is now accepting applications for the second phase of its national jazz initiative: Jazz Road Creative Residencies. Through Jazz Road Creative Residencies, artists can apply for grants of $5,000-$40,000 to develop their own personalized residency and further explore their artform. Grants for Artists Affected by the Pandemic No Rest for the Wicked Funny is the non-profit branch of Improv Asylum. They are offering grants (ranging from $500-$2,000) to artists and performers of all disciplines (not just comedians) who have been affected by the events of the last year. The only stipulation is you must be a Massachusetts resident. (“Take that, Idaho-based artists!”) Make a short video to show your work and apply for a grant. Learn more.

Furniture Makers Application now open for the 2021 Mineck Fellowship, administered by the Society of Arts + Crafts. The John D. Mineck Furniture Fellowship provides an annual cash award of $25,000. The fellowship is intended to support an early-career furniture artist looking to fulfill an apprenticeship, further develop their skills, and/or make the transition to independence. Learn more.
