Dancers Dance/USA Fellowships to Artists (DFA), which offers direct support to individual artists who have a sustained and intentional practice of working through dance or movement-based modalities to address social change, is currently open for submissions. In this current round, DFA will fund 30 one-year fellowships of a minimum of $30,000 per awarded artist. Application process begins with a Letter of Inquiry. Learn more.

Call to Artists The City of Boston has a call to artists for a mural to celebrate the life and legacy of Rita Hester in the Allston neighborhood. The budget is $25,000-$75,000. Residency Fellowships The Fine Arts Work Center offers a unique residency for writers and visual artists in the crucial early stages of their careers. Located in Provincetown, Massachusetts, an area with a long history as an arts colony, the Work Center provides seven-month Fellowships to twenty Fellows each year in the form of living/work space and a modest monthly stipend. Wearable Artists The Brookline Arts Center is requesting submissions from local, wearable art designers and artists for their upcoming exhibition in honor of their late board chair, Mika Hornyak. The exhibition will take place March of 2022 and will include a celebratory, hybrid reception and auction. Deaf Artists Residency Open Call 2022 Anderson Center Deaf Artists Residency Program in Red Wing, Minnesota is currently accepting applications. The applications must be submitted on or before the deadline in order to be considered in the jury review period. There is no fee for applying to this residency program. Thanks to support from the National Endowment for the Arts, selected artist to participate in the cohort will receive a $1,100 stipend for the month, reimbursement of up to $500 in travel costs, art-making resources, lodging & studio space, groceries, and chef-prepared communal dinners. The Anderson Center’s Deaf Artists Residency (DAR) is an ASL-centric environment where Deaf artists can communicate and exchange ideas. The program provides 5 Deaf artists the opportunity to come together to live, work and share ideas with other native ASL signers, while advancing their own personal artistic projects. Learn more.
