Boston Artists and Poets The Mayor’s Office of Arts, Tourism & Special Events is currently seeking artwork and poetry from Boston based artists and poets. Their goal is to create a dialogue between the literary and visual arts in Boston. The theme for the exhibition will be Impressions of Boston. Poets Silverfish Review Press sponsors the Gerald Cable Book Award. This prize is awarded annually to a book length manuscript of original poetry by an author who has not yet published a full-length collection. There are no restrictions on the kind of poetry or subject matter; translations are not acceptable. Winners will receive $1000, publication, and 25 copies of the book. Poets The T. S. Eliot Prize for Poetry is an annual award for an unpublished book-length collection of poetry in English. The purpose of the T. S. Eliot Prize is to publish and promote contemporary English-language poetry, regardless of a poet’s nationality, reputation, stage in career, or publication history. Truman State University Press offers $2,000 and publication of the winning collection. Learn more.
