Pittsfield Artists Capacity-Building Grant Applications are currently being accepted for the Pittsfield Artists Capacity-Building Grant program. The cohort of 10 artists will receive: an unrestricted grant of $2,000 paid upon completion of a simple written plan; free, priority access to Assets for Artists online workshops for the year specifically selected with this cohort in mind; at least one free individual coaching session with an A4A trainer of their choice; a Pittsfield peer-mentor, specially selected by our community advisory team with your personal career goals in mind; support for setting goals and making an action-oriented written plan to reach them; peer-networking opportunities within their cohort of fellow grantees and among the broader Pittsfield creative community. In addition to our grant cohorts, stay tuned for a series of workshops specifically chosen for and by Pittsfield artists. Call for Performers The Harvard Ed Portal is hiring family-oriented musical acts and stage performers to perform Concerts in the Common, a 75-90 minute outdoor show on select Wednesday afternoons, June 14–October 11, 2023 at the Brighton Farmers Market. Creative Community Fellows New England is an eight month fellowship designed to bring cultural trailblazers together from around the region to be part of something bigger, to learn life-changing skills, focus on wellness, and see their dreams for creating positive change in their communities become a reality. Call For Art The St. Louis Artists’ Guild is accepting entries to It Was All Very Queer II, a national juried exhibition examining contemporary queer artists residing within the United States. The exhibition will examine work that investigates identity, social norms, inclusivity, and the celebration of being queer. The St. Louis Artists Guild believes artists within the queer community are an underrepresented group within the arts and deserve a space to express their creativity. Artist Capacity Building Grants Applications are currently being accepted for the Massachusetts Statewide Capacity-Building Grant. 12-14 Artists will each receive $3,000 Grants. MASS MoCA’s Assets for Artists program is offering their first statewide Massachusetts Capacity-Building Grant since 2021. Applicants must live or work in Massachusetts and currently self-identify as one of the following: BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or Person of Color), an active caretaker of a child or adult, an immigrant, veteran, LGBTQIA+, formerly incarcerated, or living with a disability or housing insecurity. Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grants These are one-time grants of up to $5,000 to professional dancers, dancers who have had paid engagements since at least 2019, but don’t necessarily have performing as their primary career or source of income. The program is open to dancers who have experienced dire financial emergencies due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences, including lack or imminent endangerment of essentials such as housing, medicine/healthcare, utilities, and food.
